The manager who once was seen as a possible Spurs manager against the one who became a Spurs manager? Bad attacking against bad defending? Or will the players who seem to have the skills for great attacking make an appearance?

Players showed some passion yesterday, the keeper who was once close to winning the golden gloves made it clear that lack of defensive effort was not acceptable (any longer?). Maybe more clean sheets might be the result?
Or was it possibly staged for some reality tv?

I didn't see the match yesterday so not sure what team to play in the next match.
Possibly it is time for Ndombele as Bournemouth might just be waiting for relegation and have no fight or possibly they are now about to fight even harder as the players want to be bought to be able to stay in the EPL.

I'd go probably with the same 11. Maybe have a look at ndombele for more creative influence than sissoko. Lamela or bergwjin for moura who flatters to deceive once again. The key difference is getting the front 3 much more narrow to work in together such as arsenal are tnite and Liverpool do in order to slop this isolation of kane.

Our whole attacking game died on the loss of Walker and a decent Danny Rose.
We've never recaptured that extra dimension on the flanks, Davies offers nothing and Aurrier is just a joke.
This leaves our wide attackers most of the time stranded or easily contained.
All the best sides push up as a whole team, their play is positive, their movement is positive, Robertson and Arnold are the reason pool can play a fluid tight front 3 plus they also have a disciplined hard working midfield.
We're lacking in all these departments and other than Son we have no 1 that can really take on a player beat them and have an end product.

This team/club cannot move forward until the FB situation is sorted and a proper DM is installed as a priority.
If these things aren't drastically sorted out in the Summer by JM then he will quite rightly deserve the criticism because it's clear he's here for the pay day.

Just watching arsenal versus Leicester and it brings up the fact that arsenal have at least 5 under 20s in their squad who would walk into our first eleven.Nobody ever seems to question on here why we don’t produce many players through our academy and youth teams.Could any one name who is in charge of the youth programme.Other teams like Chelsea and Man U produce prodigious talent from their youth. Is it money again or does levy not care.We never seem to be in the latter stages of the youth cup and even Norwich reach the latter stages.Surely our facilities would attract youngsters

Considering the magic man was renowned for bringing through youth and improving every player he came in contact with, after 6 years at the club and our untapped resources of potential in the academy you'd think we'd have a pool of talent pushing to break through........

    Just another myth

Already noises coming out the camp that the finances won't be there due to the fact of the corona and no CL qualification. Dread to think what the pot will be like. The sessagnon situation is strange. Being touted as similar to Ashley Cole but not ready to play full bk despite the fact cirkin
makes bench aged 18 or so and tanganga a natural right footed centre half already had starts at left bk. I'd definitely sort the defence out before looking anywhere up front. DM seriously needs adressing ASAP too. I'd take a bk 4 of aarons Toby ake sessagnon to build upon.

Sorry big fran but what makes you think we can afford Aaron’s and Ake and for that matter why would they come to us when bigger clubs are interested.Given the choice if we had the money I would prefer the Norwich left back over Aaron’s.but apart from the stadium what do we have to attract players who want to win troph

    Aurier-Tobi-Dier-Davies
    Winks
    Lamela-Lucas-LoCelso--Son
    Kane

    Sissoco needs a brake

Firstly aarons is a simple deal to set up isn't it. Norwich are down he will prem football and they will need to sell. None of the teams above us in particular need a right bk, he can also play left bb and will cost between 20 to 30 m depending on how much you believe corona will effect transfer prices and budgets. That will be offset by the sale of KWP for around12m as he's looking first choice at Soton now or could go Norwich as part of the deal. IF Aaron's comes in I'd expect serge to go for around 15 to 20m to ac Milan likely.
Ake will be more difficult of course and thier maybe competition but again apart from arsenal and Chelsea who really needs a left centre half other than ourselves where he will come in and play week in and out.. He will cost around 40m to 50m and that will be our entire budget unless we can shift some dead wood which again could be difficult. Rose 5m lamela 10m moura 20m foyth 8m could equate to a decent DM.
Aaron's and ake both fit our profile, price bracket, wage bill and requirements. With sessagnon at left bk and tanganga to cover across the bk4 your looking at an altogether pacier, younger and attacking defence to build upon.

I don't buy the no money routine, we'll of got all sponsorship money in, plus TV, CL money, plus a massively increased gate/match day revenue even without a full season.
Only the stupid will accept this nonsense from Levy.
This team needs major surgery it is/should be the owners primary concern now, as we are not a CL team anymore at the moment may not even be a Europa LG team.
If they want to continue to fill that stadium whilst charging top end prices then they can't carry on serving up an inferior product.
Every other top team will spend, why once again are we the only club that'll be scraping the barrel with a begging bowl.
It's a farce, pay up or sell up!

  12. Excellent assessment. Despite Toby and Jan’s decline, fullback is where we have fallen farthest since our peak in 16/17 (Dembele notwithstanding... his replacement is already at the club though not being given an opportunity).

I think Rose was the best left back in England for a couple of seasons but unfortunately never recovered from his major injury and subsequent state of mind. Davies is nothing flash but solid enough. Aurier can be very good but equally very bad... a manager’s nightmare.

Davies was never the most adventurous but I think more than that it is the system which is mostly keeping him at home while Aurier generally plays so high up the pitch. We’re more stout defensively as a result but I would think such a tactic is more easily defendable.

Think Davies was one of the top defensive assists makers two years or so ago when given licence to get forward. Has a decent delivery tbf

Aurier and Lemela on the same side of the pitch???...... with Moura assisting the defensive chaos.....
Winks struggles as it is...... without no help from 3 players

We are not playing Pool or City. No defensive chaos is expected. Winks is in good form now, reads the game well and can protect back 4 even with his tiny frame. In 4-1-4-1 system top 5 positions are not set usually, Lo can switch with Eric, therefore as needed.

What with Burnley winning we must win tonight or we face not finishing in the top 6 for the first time in 10;years.A defeat to Bournemouth does not bear thinking about but they are on their final chance to have any chance of avoiding relegation and will be fighting hard.We must attack them and not do the usual Mourinho tactic of trying not to lose because we must not give them a sniff as we seem to do to all struggling teams.A defeat to them will surely convince evenLevy that he has cocked up again in appointing Mourinho.Cant say I enjoy watching Burnley type football but every body knows his job and fights for 90 minutes which can’t be said about us and we are just as boring but with worst results

First half...... wow......not sure we even deserve to be 10th.
    Rubbish!!!

just on Burnley type football....who cares what style teams play?
And who decided that playing out from the back was the attractive way to play football??
why not get it up to the forwards and get a larger percentage of the game in the box with more shots on goal??

.......and let's ask a Brighton fan whether playing out from the back against Liverpool was a good idea!?!?
