Will Conte ever make a substitution before the last 5 minutes

 

Forget the top 4 these players just don’t know how to fight.2 games now without a a shot on target and you must question Contes tactics .Why when Emerson is so bad and Kulu is having a mare did he not bring on 2 attackers instead of Sanchez.Arsenal have scored 7 goals against much better opposition than we have played and we can’t even have one shot on target.Having watched the Arse play with movement and imagination where is ours.We have reverted back to type no wonder we are Spursy

Yes.... Sanchez for Sessegnon

 

Son offered no good free-kick ball. Kane hasn't offered anything for 180 minutes now. Just like Kulu... What's going on? Dier does not give any good ball, not to mention the inefficiency of the 2 corridor players Sessegnon and Emerson! Waiting until the 86th minute to bring Lucas into such a closed match is professional fault... Conte's credit is reduced from match to match.

 

I am so puzzled by the current performances.Today both wingbacks were awful and we should have have brought on Moura and Bergwin or reverted to a back 4At half time .Conte does not seem to have the nous to change until it’s too late which is surprising after what he has won in his time.Can you see Klopp putting up with the sh**e performances from Emerson who is one of the worst footballers I have seen at Spurs.Do we not have an under 21 team with a full back in it.Dier said we were not fluent but kept a clean sheet .Did he think that was down to the back4 or Brentford having bad luck and the woodwork.I sometimes don’t think the current squad have the guts or desire and they are insulting the fans who pay their wages.How can the England captain put in 2 performances that would have disgraced the championship.Are they over training because they look knackered after ten minutes

14 shots in 189 minutes of abysmal football n not a single 1 on target.
I spose the blame lies completely with Conte aswell now and not the absolutely gutless dross he's working with.
Absolutely no bench and an average 11 at least 6 of which are mid table at best standard.
But remember keep it consistent.

 

Seems the rose coloured who think that Conte has now coached these losers into footballers have gone very quiet .A leopard can’t change its spots and these losers will remain second rate footballers.Wait for the rush of clubs who want to buy our discards in the summer

 

Very strange performances in the last 2 games. The thing that is missing is the desire and urgency for some reason. In both games we seem to have taken a view that pedestrian football is the way forward. Last week Romero was the main player slowing the game down, against Brentford it was Bentancur. It seems as though we are playing Serie A football in the premier league for some reason and the results are matching the performances.

We still have 5 games to go so it’s not over yet but we do need to lift our intensity to have any chance.

I am still of the opinion that as part of the summer exodus, we need to sell Kane. Too often we look for him when better options are available for the pass.

We have seen a huge improvement since Conte took over, let’s just hope we can keep him to give him time to make the changes the squad need.

We will never beat Arsenal at home if we play walking football..

A week ago it was the two cast off benchwarmers who’d turned us into worthy Champions League contenders… this week everyone is utterly hopeless mid table relegation trash again

One week Jose is the messiah… impervious to any criticism… our only hope despite all evidence to the contrary… the next week you’re telling everyone that a manager has no bearing on anything

You’re a walking talking contradiction… and then you demand consistency from others? So laughable I can’t keep a straight face

The overwhelming majority of Spurs fans understand fully who we are… it’s only you and Preed who seem to be utterly confused by it all here

 

I think the last two performances prove that I am right Jose’s Ghost or are you saying 189 minutes without a shot on target is okay.Be interesting to know if the bottom 3 have had a period longer without a shot on goal.Be interesting to know your opinion of Emerson as I apparantly don’t understand football after 60 years of watching Spurs..I said I did not understand the last two performances not why we did not score 3 goals every game.By this I meant the total lack of fight and the oh so slow build up.After the Arsenal performances this week thou would expect a start with energy and purpose not the dross that was served up.We may still get fourth although I doubt it but ourselves Arsenal and Man united are no where good enough to cope in the champions leagueSrill I have missed your wide ranging expertise.I see you still can’t put your point of view without using insults I have my views but I don’t think calling someone obnoxious helps people take you seriously.Have you looked at other spurs websites because if you have you would see that myself and Felon are not alone in our opinion of the current squad.No team in the premiership has gone 3 games without a shot on target and only one team has has gone 2 successive games more than once in a season Guess who.Which .answers my own previous question

An upturn in form was mentioned because yourself n THFC were crowing about how wonderful we were n what a job Conte has done.
As I've always said n stuck too is managers are only as good as the players at their disposal n if the last 2 performances or the many others under Conte - Boro Burnley Southampton Wolves Brighton Brentford had happened under Nuno or Jose you'd have been pinning all blame on them and beying for blood.

Prior to yesterday's fixture Spurs were in 4th... you said that was purely because of the players... so you justified our position... incorrectly of course but no matter

Nuno was for the most part woeful... 19th in shots when he departed over a quarter into the season... Jose was similarly poor last season both in performance and results with arguably a stronger side... Conte for the most part has impressed so far... go crunch the numbers if you're incredulous... and he hasn't even had an offseason or summer window to work with the squad

So exactly what part of all this don't you understand?

 

No 1 can seriously think we're worthy of 4th?
The league barring the top 3 has been atrocious its a miracle we're anywhere near 4th.
People seem to have no grasp of the fact how bad some of these players are n have been.
It's embarrassing this season under both Conte & Nuno I've seen some of the worst football since the 90s.
In 189 minutes not a single shot on target, 5 games this season not a single shot on target, 16 games this season 3 or less on target, we barely average 10 shots a game.
If it weren't for the quality of Kane Son n to a lesser extent Kulu since he came in wed be in the bottom half.
The only consistent in all these abject performances are players like Dier Davies etc hanging around for years and Levy being chairman.

 

We are in 5th place, 2 points behind 4th place (which is occupied by a team just as inconsistent as us) and 4 points behind 3rd place (albeit they have games in hand). Despite the last 2 x performances and results, we are battling for 4th?
It’s great that you have supported us for 60 years…you should know from experience that for a fair while, this position is a great position to be in with 5 games to go and one of those games being at home to the team in 4th. I haven’t said that we were not poor and pedestrian in the last 2 games but there are 5 games to go.
Burnley and Southampton have been mentioned on here as poor performances but the reality was that they both played out of their skins for their results. The same goes for Man Utd who were a very different side in their win against us to that which Arsenal faced.
If you are saying we have bottled it before it’s over, you are being negative…let’s see how we go for the next 5 games as you never know, we might just do it yet.

 

You could say exactly the same thing about Arsenal, Man Utd, West Ham, Wolves, Newcastle and Leicester so we are where we are because we are worthy of the spot (regardless of how poor the league has been)

 

You obviously didn't watch a single game last year then... that would explain your devotion to Jose
