........ any actual match day discussion in the match day discussion?

I think maybe some people need lockdown to end so normality is returned.

Bale in or out of the starting line up today?
For me I'd prefer him to start before Moura or Vini.
    he'd ask Moyes a question.

Dele in front of Hojbjerg and NDombele

West Ham have had 6 days to prepare for their cup final while we have had just 2 n been given the early Sunday kick off just for good measure, the schedule this season has been brutal on us.

Still it's a London Derby v the pikeys so I expect every player to his man be ready to put in a shift and fight from the off.

After a positive display midweek hopefully it can be a springboard into turning the season round for us.

We should've thumped them last time out the capitulation was just embarrassing so hopefully we right that wrong today.

Regy is back....woohoo.....Dier and Sanchez in at CB though...let’s hope Regy and Tanganga are solid enough to cover their respective CB’s as it’s quite likely Antonio will bully the pair of them.

Lamela and Lucas don’t lack running effort...hopefully Bale and Alli can get on at some stage to replace them if we need some extra spark with enough time to have an impact in the game.

Need a big performance which will take a lot of effort so soon after the Europa League but hopefully we are going into the game with some confidence.

Not with Dier Sanchez and Moura in the team.I assume Rodon is injured as he is not on bench Let’s hope Antonio is struggling or he will bully that pair of centre halves

Why do we bother playing with these 2 clowns in defence

No idea, Toby is far better than the pair of them put together....Tanganga, Toby, Davies and Regy would be my preferred starting back 4 from what’s available

It's not raining in my part of England, just for once, so I'll try to be nice in my reply (just for once). I'm sorry I accused Rose of being a right-back rather than a left-back - mea culpa!
Next, Pochettino's 'transformation' of Spurs. We went into the PL era in a shambolic state (courtesy of Scholar's mismanagement, which almost drove the club out of business in 1991), and then endured a near decade of mediocrity as Sugar attempted to run Spurs on Amstrad lines, as cheaply as possible. Only when Levy stumbled into the appointment of Jol in 2004, after his masterstroke manager Santini (for whom we'd been waiting almost the whole of the previous season!) walked-out after 13 games, did things start to look-up, and I believe you've set-up the flimsiest of straw men in comparing Pochettino's five years with the previous twenty-two, given that Spurs 'year zero' was 2004, after which we were pushing for the top four places which Redknapp finally achieved in 2010 and 2012. That's as much pleasantry as I can manage for now!

Just a reminder that over the last 5 games only Southampton have got less points than us although we do have the company of Liverpool. The other are West Brom and Sheffield who are rock bottom,.A win is a must or we will struggle to finish top half.As I talk Dier stands and watches Antonio give West Ham the lead. This is going to be a long afternoon

What the fk is he doing Tanganga off when he should be at centre half and Dier or Sanchez off and to prove it as I talk theystand again and watch Linguard put West Ham 2 up.Please make this the last time Mourino is in charge Levy whatever the financial cost.We are now back to the worst Pochetino era

Dier is definitely not a central back ! Mourinho has made him his main choice for this position and he must to assume it! We deserved to win today and luck flees us offensively but if we can't score that's one thing ... But we no longer manage not to concede goals and that is serious. Why start this match with Lamela when Bale is in very good shape and he has proven it again since his arrival in 2nd half! And what about Dele who again slowed down the game as soon as he arrived on the pitch and who has brought absolutely nothing ... I do not appreciate a large part of Mourinho's choices but to no longer play Dele is unfortunately one that makes sense! The end of the season will be complicated

I am really finished trying to make sense of Mourino.Team selection totally wrong he picks his favourite Portuguese talking son in Dier come what may and pairs him with the walking nightmare Sanchez. We have to be two down before any attacking intent shown. Our best player today Bale by a mile where has he been.I know Moura scored a good goal but does he know that dribbling till you lose ball is not the best way to play. With no real plan Son has become ineffective and Kane is left to wander wherever he wants. The last 3 games Ndombele has been awful and has not created a thing and Hojbjerg has become frustrated and therefore ineffectiveThis really should be the end for Mourino but I am afraid we are stuck with him at least till the end of season.Any body notice the wasted Ali flicks when we are desperate for an equaliser. The most we can hope for is that he makes up his mind about our best team and sticks with it and that must be giving Bale a. Run of games because today he showed some class that I did not think I would see again

There was a claim that some results were lucky? Not sure if there has been any results this season where luck were a factor in favour of Spurs.

Anyway, first goal looked like a foul on Reg and then a perfect cross. Second goal another perfect strike from West Ham against Spurs.
Höjbjerg was a good buy but still he is just the minimum quality for a club challenging for top four. He was poor this match, gave away the ball cheaply a couple of times. Caught badly out of position a couple of times and sometimes did the covering of space instead of covering his man.

Tactics appear to have been to attack on the left. Tanganga could be wide open but the ball was often then instead worked out on the left. Putting in Doherty was probably an attempt to make more attacks on the right. Subbing Lamela probably due to him being on a yellow and likely to get his usual yellow in the second half.

Only one with the skill of shooting from distance appears to be Bale. Other than that the only midfielder likely to score is Moura.

Our next game in premiership Burnley at home. The second worst goals for in the league so I suppose we will play 3+at the back and try and hit them on the break especially as Mourino has told us after today’s match that his and his assistants tactics are second to none.Cucko

Is it only me that is incensed by the rubbish that Mourino comes out with after games.Today he says that there are problems at the club he can’t sort as coach even though he tells us his methods are second to none.Well let’s get somebody who can

There is no defence for JM on his team selection or tactics.
If the players aren't performing then change the players or change the tactics.

We will get nowhere..... sorry we have got nowhere... with Doherty, Dier, Sanchez & Moura. bin them.
And add Aurier, Winks, Lamela, Vinicius & Bergwijn as well.

Sanchez must be the worst signing in a very long time. (considering the price we paid)

I fully understand this point of view on Mourinho's choices and his negative philosophy in the game that has brought us to the situation we are currently living but ... If we study all the elements for several years, the main responsible is and will remain Levy and Enic! The lack of financial support for the last Managers, the inability to help find young and talented players and above all to invest in good defenders because the players available are simply not good! Mourinho or another .... The problem would certainly be the same
