Not enough time now...we could try to exchange one and maybe sell two. Other than that they will be here until the next window and beyond I would imagine

  2. I’ve explained it to you (not once but twice) because you’re ignorant (you admit this yourself) and apparently now wish to remain so. Again it is not my fundamental football theory nor is it selective in any sense... it is widely accepted because in part it is self-evident. Now I believe I have done so in a very polite manner because you seem like a nice fellow but also one who doesn’t seem to understand much (again you admit this yourself). You can easily educate yourself if you’re earnest... it is not for me to do so any further.

  3. Now that is good banter Cheshuntboy.

I for one am happy spurs didn't get Wilson as he is a basic player, Spurs should be able to pick up a CF who has a better skill-set. Watched Eze for first time and on what i saw would have taken him over Ses/ clarke.

Football without fans is not the same you can see that some teams are doing better under these conditions than others. Some players crumble under fan pressure and some players rise to the occasion. Without fans there is no energy.

Spurs should win this game the EL game will be like a preseason warm up, which should give spurs a fitness advantage. Coys

You've not provided an explanation, you've provided what is barely even an argument. You appear to have read and listened to what others think of Mourinho, based on what other said and wrote then it seems you've decided that you know how he thinks and how he works. No need for you to observe him yourself, no need for you to think for yourself.
I am aware of Mourinhos reputation, I've thought about what has been written and said about him and tried to fit the narrative about him to the verifiable facts. It seems unlikely that his reputation is 100% true. Chosing to observe and think is apparently according to your 'logic' done by those who 'don't understand much'.

You're right, at least one of us, probably both, are wasting time by replying to the other.

What can i say it was obvious that if we didn’t score a second then Newcastle would score.I know the penalty was ridiculous but we should have at least been 3 up by then and we were not because of the ineptitude of the team selection.Moura scores at last but did nothing else.Dier had to be the unlucky one to give the penalty away but he really should not be first choice Why oh why do we do this game after game with no killer punch .Is it Mourino being cautious or is it the attitude of the players .Can you imagine Liverpool doing this of course not because it’s not in their dna .#Why was ndombele on bench as he is the only one looking for the forward pass.i hate to say it but Winks was better than decelso today and that is more about how poor decelso was todayOnce son went off it showed why we need another striker urgently I for one am sick of watching this team underperform week after week. Please let Bale get fit soon and let’s put our new left back in poste haste because Davies came the closest to scoring for Newcastle. All in all just another repeat

Well it’s nobody’s fault but our own, for sure. Inability to close out is a disease that has plagued us for decades, and today we saw it in spades.

A rag bag of a side like Newcastle, poor refs, VAR official ineptitude, a crazy handball law are So painful to take, but forget it and move on.

The hamstring injury to Sonny we could have done without for sure - JM you must put extra pressure on Levy to deliver a striker - and a replacement for Dier please.....COYS

The good: The performance was the best that I've seen from Spurs in a very long time. If the performances continues to be on that level then results are likely to sooner or later come.
The bad: It was a loss, however, in my opinion the only really bad miss was the one when Dier had a free header and headed wide. He seemed very angry with himself about that miss so hopefully he'll take it the right way and do better.
    The ugly: Son injured

Three people voted in the poll for best option on the right, three different players were voted for.Not quite sure what to take from that poll.

What a week coming up.I don’t envy Mourinos job this week.where does he prioritise .Most spurs fans would like us to beat Chelsea but I expect with their squad strength that even their reserves will be to strong for us.Now we don’t have Son when does Harry play Because we can’t afford him getting injured and we need him Thursday and Sunday. This is when the non signing of a striker Rears it’s ugly head again.I believe that Ali should be thrown in as a no10 as he can score which most off the squad find hard to do.I believe we will win on Thursday but then we have United away and we could catch a hiding if we can’t put pressure on them by attacking them. This could be a defining week even this early in the season as 2 bad defeats could destroy any confidence we have but 2 wins could have the opposite effect. As I said I don’t envy Mourino his job this week

I'm hoping that Son's injury isn't that bad.....and that JM is using it to push DL to getti g another striker in.
    ........ I can only hope

As for VAR....... well I think it is doing what it is meant to do. Spotting things that officials miss.
BUT...... those in authority haven't got right the decision of what to do with that info.
The ref is doing what he is instructed to do.
The top brass need to hold their hands up....... and make the ruling for the benefit of the game.
(as one article I read suggests...... otherwise teams will just be looking to hit a defenders hand the minute they get into the box... rather than try and score a goal)

I've not yet seen the BBC thread on it yet, seems like the dense schedule makes it difficult to keep up even for them.

They might currently have better options scoring, their defending is claimed to be very bad.
Son is probably out, if the formation is the same as against Newcastle then Bergwijn might be starting.
The new left back, is it time to debut?
Alli have done well against Chelsea in the past, that was when the passion of the supporting fans and the opposition crowd might have lifted him. Will he start instead of for Son? Or even for Kane?
    Other rotations?

Just seen MourinosPress conference today and he has said that that he can’t take the Caribo seriously and he must win Thursday as we need the money from it.Expect a very weak team and probably a good hiding from Chelsea.I personally would prefer the we took the Caribo seriously because we have more chance of winning it.Every body wants the Europa because of champions league qualification but you have to win it and play about Eleven games on a Thursday to do it and we at present don’t have a strong enough squad for this.Levy may pull some gems out of the fire in the next week or so to change this but I doubt it

The handball decision against Dier was unfortunately legitimate... by the law... dreadfully unlucky for Spurs and the Viking (Yes I haven't given up hope yet).

The issue with the refereeing and the VAR ... essentially their combined incompetence... comes from the clear handball not given against Lascelles some minutes before. The boy has intentionally thrown himself in front of the cross... the lower part of his arm (where the ball connects) is not against his body... nor within its contours... yet everyone thinks this is fine?

You would hope that this is some run of sheer bad luck but conscious or not there appears to be some bias against Spurs here... perhaps something to do with Jose's constant (but mostly justified) criticism? Think back to last year... Kane getting steamrolled from behind against Bournemouth or rugby tackled against Newcastle. Then compare with Pogba's premeditated flop or Aurier getting pinged while in possession against Liverpool. Forget Spurs for a moment... I'm not even going to go in to the absurdity of Chris Wood's disallowed goal. VAR has all the time in the world... it is hopelessly incompetent or biased... take your pick.

Nevertheless the most dominant performance under Jose's tenure albeit against a lifeless Newcastle side. We should have won easily and that is a gross understatement. Encouraging... confidence is high since Bale's arrival. Let's hope this nonsense does not put a dent in it.

Are you paying attention Cheshuntboy? (because I am). Chalk one up for this manager not getting a result he most thoroughly deserved. Such is football... no one ever said it was fair.
