..... back to my question.... how many people in our squad would any team in the top6 (or top10) want??
keep them and sell the rest
    (except Alli.....sell him)

For me we can only keep....
Lloris, Toby, Tanganga, Lo Celso, Son & Kane

My God - that was painful and then some. Woeful. Dreadful, anything ending in... ful except wonderful. A team full of errors but largely devoid of skill, passion, effort, organisation and, seemingly, motivation. It's deja vu for me, aproaching the spectacle of embarrassment we endured in the dog-end days of Poch's reign. Unlikely as it may seem, I'm wondering if this the first year we see two managers fired. It couldn't happen...... could it ??? What a wicked mess.

At half time...I was writing it with 1 min to go in the first half....

I agree but minus Lloris...we desperately need a good, commanding keeper like Oblak no matter how much he costs

Lloris has been on the slide for years, the meekest 'Captain' of all time inspires no confidence in the team or defence if his leadership is by example then the rest of the team follow his ineptitude of being error prone and scared.
Unfortunately our 2 rolls Royce CBs have dramatically declined and are now just that 1 more journey from the knackers yard at this level.
Sanchez Dier Foyth instill zero confidence in anything all have huge holes to their game will never be solid with time or any combination.
The full back situation is just tragic, we must be the only side in the league that has no back ups and the only 2 we do have wouldnt get in any other side in the league they'd in fact be a massive down grade for Norwich who are bottom of the league.
You can't defend the indefensible (excuse the puns).
It's not JMs fault that Lloris can't catch, doesn't command his area, doesn't Marshall his defence, doesn't put a strong enough hand on things, spills simple stuff.
It's not JMs fault that between Toby Sanchez Dier Jan they don't know how to mark, close down, communicate, win headers, keep possession, keep a shape.
The full backs 1 is just a horror show liability always has been always will be, the other as basic and average as they come neither with much about their games except being easily caught out of position.
That's before we get to the brainless fans favourite Harry I've no idea how they haven't realised how sh;te and pointless I actually am yet Winks who'll no doubt see his career out with us because that's the type of mediocrity we crave for some bizarre reason.
Sissoko a stand out player before injury probably because in the end he did all the running for all those that couldn't be bothered just to cover up how appallingly poor he is technically but hey at least he's a trier.
Moura tries but has been missing since Poch dropped him for the CL final.
Lamela another player thats never warranted a place in the side yet has won contract after contract and has somehow managed to outlast the rest of the Dung Beatles we bought with the Elvis money's, I don't know how many more injuries he can sustain or how ineffective he has to become before someone at the club admits it was a poor purchase and moves him on.
Alli showed so much promise early on, think it's a shame now he looks fed up and lost, he has to take responsibility for his own performance as far too many times he's drifted in and out of games when his ability should do more. Work before play is the saying which I think last couple years he's got the wrong way round.
I don't get the Sessegnon signing especially in the circumstances of the squad another not really sure what he is/does signing.
N'Dombele looks like a proper lazy footballer to me, straight out the Adebayor/Chimbonda finishing school. Clearly has talent does he have drive tho means nothing without the graft.
Can't see this Clarke ever making it to or at Spurs completely pointless signing just like the Nkodou or Njie signings.
LoCelso the only one earning a place right now but if he's been brought in to replace CE then his actual stats are appalling in comparison to being a playmaker/creator the stats don't lie.
Bergwijn the jury's out for me, shown glimpses not sure he's gonna be anything special though.

It's horrifically put together, hasn't just sprung out of nowhere the chronic mismanagement of it all stems way before this season alone it's just been a slow death of what was a fine team 3/4 years ago.

How we expect to keep Kane here on the promise of having 'ambition' is a joke.

If you're not Levy & ENIC out yet then your complicit with this never ending Con of theirs.

    Wake up

The players looked bad because RB were good. Just watch Leipzig to go into final and perhaps even win UCL.
This season is over. There is nothing left to look forward to. We in step 4 below:
    1. Change the manager
    2. Change the players
    3. Change the ownership
    4. ???

Kane and Alli will be sold as they will bring in the most money.

I would keep Lloris and Toby just because of the experience they have. I still think with good footballers around them they are better players than they are showing.
They must walk onto the pitch every gamer and think what a shower of sh1te they have in front of them. At this stage of their careers they deserve better.

    4. change the mentality

To watch that display and con myself that it wasn't going to happen before we kicked a ball would be a lie.
I was prepared for the clueless, gutless, shitshow as I'm sure we all were, even when BT were showing us the footage before the game of their manager being heralded as the second coming who has made a silk purse out of a pigs ear, even before I'd watched their centre half, who'd broken off from his pie eating contest to do his Usain Bolt impression and boss our attack, midfield and just for fun defence whilst finishing his fourth Mars Bar of the night !!!
I'd watched a bloke who looked like a surfer Sabitzer score two for fun.
These players we have apart from Aurier can't be this bad. When did they lose the ability to pass to each other, control a ball, talk, or just run FFS.
To hear our leader say, "I'm not a betting man, but if I were, I'd put my money on us winning.......... we are going to leave it all out on the pitch"......... well... he certainly made sure he left SOME of it on the pitch and the ground staff have had a hells own job of digging all of it back into the ground !!!!!
Let's hope he's saved some for his roses at home and Man U Sunday.
No leaders, No Ideas, No pride, No shame and certainly no ambition.
Loris at this time, this squad should be quietly removed from the limelight given some puzzles and asked to sit it out saying he's pulled a fetlock or something just to protect his CV as a World Cup Winner.
Aurier should be quietly removed and told to carry Ledley Kings hand luggage on all of his ambassadorial trips just to save Ledleys knees. At least he'd have a purpose doing that, as I can't for the love of me see any other.
He's just one step from being prosecuted masquerading as a professional footballer at the moment.
As for the rest......... keep them all at the moment and finally realise that the SPECIAL ONE his SPECIAL STAFF needs to concentrate on his TV advertising and punditry skills and find another gullible desperate Chairman that believes he's a good fit for their team.
He was NEVER going to be a good fit for us and despite the brief resurgence of ability early on, the introduction of our best and may I say effective player this year turned out to be that Russian player VAR whom without it could've been a lot worse !!!
I'm sure that they'll be a steady line of players forming outside the medical teams door this morning saying that they've picked up a knock in the hope that they wont have to go out on that pitch and face Man U on Sunday.
let's not forget that all these players were saying are useless were playing for England and heralded as the future, Dier, Winks, Alli, Kane, with Lucas digging us out of another **** show with a hat trick, yes a hat trick against Ajax, Toby was touted as the best (pre-Dick Van-Dyke) defender, Sesseanon was going to be such a sought after catch, look to why they are such a disappointment at the moment ?????? I repeat, YOU DON'T LOSE TALLENT you just get disillusioned or led up a blind path.
I like most of you will still be cringing hiding behind the sofa watching on Sunday hoping for anything to enthuse over. Maybe.......just maybe José wont talk and say he's so proud of his hero's.

With a rested head, it is clear that Mourinho is not responsible for the weakness of Lloris last night nor for the important elements which are absent for injuries. With the entire team available, it is clear that the result would have been different. In London as in Leipzig ... However, it should not be forgotten that all the teams must deal with important absentees! I hate Chelsea but to see how Lampard manages his team with the injured he has demonstrated that it is possible to do better than what we do while daring to place very young players on the field and from the start !

The general problem also comes, above all, from the staff who manage the team as a whole. The renewal of the team is the responsibility of Levy and perhaps also of Pochettino when he was still there ... But let's look at 1 minute how is managed the team which eliminated us last night ... They currently have a Sports Director who is young and recognized by his peers in Germany, Markus Krösche. But he follows an exceptional character who brought almost all of these players who ridiculed us last night, Ralf Rangnick! They are real sports directors what we don't have! They have a young coach whose game is nice to see and watching Leipzig last night and 3 weeks ago, it felt like playing against Barça when their players were worth almost nothing a year ago or two ... And that's where Levy has been doing it all wrong for a few years. By not renewing the team and what is more with players who are often expensive and without character. All of Ralf Rangnick's recruitment is based on the character of his players. He even fired some very talented players just because they were wearing headphones when they arrived at the stadium! We can blame this lack of consideration for a young player but the result is there ... The redesign of the club may be long in any case ...!

Preed & GMc .....when I read his comments In the minutes it just took the wind out of my sails. We don’t need to wait until the summer to find out we’re going to have to make do. With no CL and little or no chance of selling all the you-know-who’s, we are a side only good enough for bottom half, dependant on getting goals from HK and Sonny, as long as they are not injured again. Tbf even without reading it, common sense says the loss of up to £100m in revenues is always going to result in a stormy time ahead, we’ve no Russian or Oil Rich benefactors.....

Well despite the result that was a spirited display for the most part at least. Difficult though when your opponent scores on 2 of their first 3 shots. Hugo could have done better but that's Spurs this season... plug one hole and then another springs a leak. The collective confidence could certainly not be any lower at the moment.

Incredibly important match for the short term future of the club this weekend. Fourth may be a bridge too far now but fifth could well be good enough nevertheless. I would hate to see us miss out on Europe altogether no matter.

Jose needs to be produce something substantial here... whether it be tactical or motivational. I trust he remembers Solskjaer patting him on the head.

I couldn’t agree with you more. I’ve never been an advocate of sacking managers In fact I would never sack Josè I just would NEVER have appointed him. I’ve always thought we had “ a Spurs way and style “ he would never fit it. In trying to replace Pooch I would have expected the whole managerial setup to be looked at not just the manager but training staff, specialist coaches, medical staff etc Klopp isn’t just brilliant on his own. The foundations that they’ve worked towards are superb. The players fit the style and ethos and are moulded and expected to stay within the bigger plan. To try and coach a player to pass or control a ball is rather closing the door after the horse is well gone !!! That should be a given to be able to work with a player who understands what’s expected and have the nounce to achieve. We’ve a lot of players who aren’t confident in themselves never mind what the manager is saying to them.

Yep. We currently have one wordly and two very good. H (wordly) Son (very good) Lo Celso (very good with the potential to be wordly). That's it! I'd keep Sissoko because he's a force. The rest can go.

First competitive match after the COVID shutdown.

    Empty stadiums
Will some players feel less pressure from the stands and perform better?
Will some players feel less passion from the stands and perform worse?

    Rules change
Possibility to subsitute five players, will the manager differential be more important? Mourinho, please show us :)

    First match after break
Rested and fit players or will there be players lacking match sharpness? Is there a difference between match fitness and match sharpness?

    Empty stadiums?
There was little to no evidence any of them have been playing for the badge or team let alone the fans for the past year.

    Rules change?
Mourinho will not be afraid to use all 5 if needed because he's actually forward thinking rather than reactive.

    First match after break?
There's a big difference between training fit and match fit but all should relatively be in the same boat, only difference is wel make excuses about it if we don't perform as if it's valid and only effects us.

I were for one of the few that enjoyed yesterday's football. The noise filtering thru defo helps ease the no crowd issue. I watched the bundesliga but couldn't get into it will the atmosphere. I just try to watch the football rather than look to the stands.
But watching Chelsea sign werner today following up on the signing of ziyceh and closely looking at havertz has absolutely knocked me sick. We are back to square one aren't we. Looking at selling to buy, bargain basements and loans. If we miss out on CL as expected next season we will be fighting for the final CL spot at t best.

Watched Mourinos press conference today and he is already saying we can’t compete with the big boys in the transfer market this summer.why did we build the best stadium if we are not going to compete and players won’t care about beautiful changing rooms when they have no chance of silverware

I trust you and your families are safe and well, difficult times for sure.

New set up with 5 subs, not sure that’s a benefit, although as Felon said training fit and match fit are not the same. Too many changes disrupts the side - look at the Gooners - how good was that. I see Brighton are appealing Luis’s red car.....

Full side to start, Dele apart. 4-3-3 perhaps, bold but needs the wingers to cover the midfield all game....mmm, against a young, quick Manure side.

Stadium advantage - a good turnout on the South Stand terrace might help, if fans are allowed up there. Might help.

A fully fit starting 11 makes us a good match for most PL sides, so if Jose has got into their brains, who knows.

As with all of the season so far, I have no expectations. COYS.
