    On the bounce.

Playing Utd is always a big game but tonight is HUGE with what's in store, it could be the Start of a Positive or Negative Domino effect for our season.

A good result tonight sets us on the right path, keeps us in touch with UTD and Chelsea and stops Liverpool having safety cushion. It also keeps those piddlers LeScum in there melt down.

A poor result would make the start to a difficult fixture pile up even harder, and will put us under more pressure heading into them.

The past couple of years we've heard all about how we've progressed, how we've learnt and that we are concentrating on the Big Prizes etc , well tonight and the following fixtures is proof in the pudding time!
These fixtures are the ones that make or break our season, I don't want to hear excuses from Poch or the Players, I don't want to see aimless snail pace football with no end product, I want to see us leaving it all out there on the pitch.
Our last 2 fixtures vs Utd & Scum were so laboured it was embarrassing, as was our most recent 'performance' vs Newport it was abysmal!

This season for me has been overall a bitty slug fest, we don't seem to have the same sharpness to our play, the forward press has been non existent, the wing play or lack of has been poor.
There are only a hand full of players that have been anywhere near what they produced last season and its about time they all got on board and realised how important it is to us fans and our club that they start performing again (including Potlesstino).

No more sound bites down to business!

And a couple world class purchases wouldn't go a miss before the Deadline either!

    Business End starts now!

Yup - spot on there Felon, me lad. BUT being the glass-half-empty dude that I've been for nigh on 60 years, I'm metaphorically hiding behind the sofa and only taking the occasional peek through me fingers. COYS but please, please don't let me down (again)

    Absolutely Felon.
Glad to see no Sissoko in the starting XI - I'm feeling more positive already.
Very little to lose in the league now - we have to go for it.

Well that was more like it .. How did we only score 2 , four or five would done us justice ... How the hell are they second , how the hell is Dele Ali so highly rated regardless of performance's and finally how do you justify Sats performance after that .. We've performed well at times this season but we've never kicked on so time will tell but it's a great start to a difficult , defining period .. Onwards & Upwards hopefully ..

Felons on team talks from now on ...

    C.O.Y.S ....

For me last night ranks up with our best performances of recent seasons - the Cheski and Sheik City wins at The Lane last term, also both 2-0, come to mind.

Every man jack put in a shift, bar none. From Hugo's save from Lukaku, Trippier's ball for the stunning Phil Jones finish, both Centre Backs, Dembele and Eriksen excelling, H's hold up play - different class or what. Dier hunting down everyone in a red shirt within striking distance and Davies tackling like a man possessed. Son working hard all game and unlucky with the cross shot saved by De Gea and Dele's assist to Eriksen.

Add to that an all game full court press and we just blew them away. 80,000 of the 82,000 loved every minute, me included.

This was SO vital a game to win, as will Sunday be. Ok so they always are, but we looked a class above Manure last night and if we keep our form and look to repeat it on Sunday, then Chelski (in disarray) Manure (simply not a unit) and the Scousers (inconsistent) are all within the cross hairs of our season end sights.

    Just brilliant. COYS

lot of whingeing from MU fans re H standing in their half at kick-off (they have a point) but they don't want to know that there was the full 90, less 11 seconds, to do something about it. Didn't hear too much about that thug Valencia bringing down Alli for a cert penalty call either. Didn't need it though did we ? Damn right we didn't. Let's give Liverpool some now.

The irony of any Utd fan to moan about decisions not going in their favour aye

Unfortunately missed the game and what sounds like a great spurs performance v a major top four rival. As felon pointed out this is a crucial period not only in the clubs season but also in their history and immediate future heading into the new lane.
The hope is the ground and the extra income can propel us back to the top table of English football which we haven't eaten at fir too long. Not in my lifetime for sure.
Like most I'm not convinced but credit where its due that's a big result. If we can get a result at pool we would be looking good for top 4 given Chelsea and the gooners woes.

What they fail to realise is that the goal is correct, it could not be disallowed because of events that far back. Either it is noticed at the time of kick off and the game immediately restarted or it is history. The alternative to this is the ref-whining managers wanting VAR to go back 5 minutes to see a little infringement to cancel out their opponents goal. Every penalty has encroachment but I don't see many suffering the same scrutiny.
