You will notice my comment didn’t say you were against it. I was well aware that you hadn’t expressed contrary comments, I was stating how things changed from whinging about not wanting him (others, including Mr Felon) to now a turnaround and complaining we should have bought him

    Felon

what swerve? I’ve never said we didn’t need people, never said we were complete, I have however, said on many occasions I was enjoying the last few years where we were finally classed as top 4 or 6. I try and look for what is good with what we have Like for example we just one the game and are 1 point from 4th but this doesn’t get a mention
Maybe you need to avoid looking for clever replies and accept that in your opinion bad decisions were made over the last few years but now there is a new manager and it will take time to see where that goes but short term he did more business in the January window that we were used to so some things have changed. So look forwards rather than backwards, seems pointless complaining about what you can’t change?
Anyway, here’s to a good cl game!

Bad decisions were made , not in my opinion but fact proof was in the pudding where we couldn't buy a win, had no enthusiasm, bad attitudes and ended in the Fitness Coaches sacking after looking miserable for months.
If you want my view on JM I'm extremely pleased with the work he's doing, to pick up the absolute shambles he did and turn it round is nothing short of a miracle.
All could have been avoided tho if not for neglect by Poch & Levy.
I've not been overly vocal on the matter because I'm giving JM time to get his own team together which is currently short by at least 4 players so as to 'not complain' , the style isn't great but it's a darn site better than its been for the past year n s half and it's getting results.
So what else is there to say?

That’s great Felon. Looking to the future and not harping on about spilt milk is the best I could hope for
Moving on to the next game. I hope lo celso starts and in theory Ndombele should be better suited to a European game. Be good to keep Dier away from the starting line up and hopefully Hugo gets some practice at claiming corners and crosses before then

VAR helped Spurs twice tonight to close on Chelsea with only one point of separation remaining. COYS!!

I just don't see enough in Ndumb. I think him, Moura, Sanchez...possibly Aurier as well.....won't last the distance with JM
We just need better players than them (and others....but the list will be too long!)

Worst news possible today Son broken arm out for a few games. It was on the cards we would suffer injury when we missed signing striker in window. Not sure what Mourino will do now as we are not strong enough defensively to sneak results. Ali and Moura must get their fingers out and maybe Bergwijn plays up front or even parrot.we may have to change system so as to include Fernandez and ndombele. We do have good attacking players but nobody strong enough to hold the ball up so expect plenty of balls over the top

Where's our 'we don't need a back up striker crew' ?

Don't all come forward at once

We don't really hit the striker in the true sense of the word do we.
We play through the lines so I think we need the best finisher of those we have available.
    Limited in options I agree
Bergwijn & Deli I suppose. with Moura if we play 3 up.
    Hopefully Parrot on the bench.

JM must be doing his nut in private

This will be a test for Mourino now.If this was city Pep would improvise and play with a false nine and they would still score through Stirling and the other midfield players they have. His press release was pessimistic when he should be showing the players some real optimism..

    Lloris
    Aurier, Toby, Sanchez, Taganga
    Ndobele, Dele, Winks
    LoCelso, Lucas, Bergewijn

As Mou said, we will play w/o a striker. I would say, very much like LFC.

Well Felon, the looking forwards not backwards didn’t last very long. No striker was bought,Maurizio has gone, **** it up and move on. We now have to do the best we can, why do you always get great pleasure in saying, “ooh look, it’s going bad, told you so!”?

Although I would love it if we got Crouchy for a couple of games- that would be fun!

Sorry VoR I must've missed the part where you became arbiter of this forum.
When you harped on about Grealish not being signed that wasnt looking back I spose?

The reason il quite happily say told you so on certain issues is the amount of abuse I've had from many pretentious types for calling many of these things that have happened.

Yet where are they all now?

Mou being Mou is, obviously, exaggerating. Son injury is not as horrible as Harry's. It is not a leg and Sonny isn't tending the goal. Arm will heal in 5-6 weeks and most of that time Son can ride the stationary bike to keep his muscles fresh and at later weeks even run and kick the ball. His rehabilitation, in other words, is not as long and as intense as Harry's. There is no fear of setback the Kane's recovery carries.
Levy bought Mou 2 players. Not as top notch as the two Mou lost , but not a slackers either. Both Bregewijn and Fernandez will contribute and I can bet we will see Parrott, if any of the two for some reasons wont. We could see Parrott regardless.
Anyway, Son will be back against Everton on 11th of April or even a week sooner against Sheffield Utd. I can only hope that Harry will get back to training by then. In that week middle there will be UCL quarter final 1st leg. If Spurs survive RB, Son will be available to play.

Felon just give it a rest. All you do is winge. So what we don't have a striker and a back up this and that. We have a coach that's won the lot, we have arguably the best stadium in the world, a training ground which is the envy of the rest of the league and we're 1 point of 4th place. If you can't find any positives in that you need help. If he want to take our club forward with all your knowledge either go and get your coaching badges and get in that way or go and earn billions so you can buy the club. Yes maybe a billion that's how much the club is worth now even with the lack of silverware.

And the difference between us and the lot down the road is that they were already a well established top 4 club winning things before the moved into there new ground maintaining there top4 status while the stadium was being built and paid for. We were not an established top4 club and managed to become one even though we're having the stadium being built and paid for. Thank Poch for that, we can now attract the quality of manager that can win us things which we couldn't before. Maybe with what's going on at City now you can see why it's so important to build your revenue stream, thank Levy for that. Commonsense really

Agree with vor, Mp is the one to blame for not having a back up striker. Lamela's injury problems means spurs have only 3 viable attackers in Berg, Dele and Lucas, it's going to be physically demanding on them as they will have to play a lot of minutes.

Dele missed several chances vs Villa, however, the shape of the team was better with Lucas playing off the right and i would give it another go tonight. I don't like the Winks/Dier combo, however, i have a feeling JM will start with it again, with Loco making up the midfied. The biggest problem with the defence is Toby he is getting slow and too easily outpaced and he's not jumping well at corners. Lloris needs to stay of the red wine as he has been a bit dodgy coming off his line in recent games. I hope spurs can get a win and keep a clean sheet (wishful thinking) or at worst a 0-0 draw. Coys

Well let's carry on struggling every year when it comes to buisness end when we inevitably tail off because of the same constant mistakes & negligence.
You can call it whinging but it's not settling for this permanent sell us short buisness model.
We will continuously be in this never ending cycle of nearly bust nearly bust if the manager isn't given the tools for the job and the team is constantly too thin or unbalanced.
These are just facts that need addressing , yes we can and will try to cope all very valiant but it's always completely flawed great if you have little to no aspirations but I want us to be winners not nearly men.
(Or at least give us a proper fighting chance)

I've put a few regular posters on ignore, the reason why is related to this:
    https://dictionary.cambridge.org/dictionary/english/whinger
Never anything positive to say - why bother with people who only sees and mentions negatives and never sees anything positive in anything?
From time to time I do use the un-ignore, there are some signs that they might say something positive but that might be just me seeing what I want to see (something positive or at least a change for the positive) :)
