Tottenham are closing in on the double capture of Swansea City duo Michel Vorm and Ben Davies.

Breaking news this morning told us that Dutch goalkeeper Vorm had agreed personal terms with the club, in a less expected move from new Spurs boss Mauricio Pochettino.

However the deal for the defensive couple looks almost certain to go through, and will likely see our Icelandic midfielder Gylfi Sigurdsson move in the opposite direction.

    Outbound
The deal could also make England U21 left-back Danny Rose surplus to requirements at the Lane, and Sunderland, QPR and Hull are all now supposedly vying for his signature.

Sunderland remain favourites for his transfer following his loan spell there 2 seasons ago, while Harry Redknapp remains keen on the player he handed a breakthrough to in 2010. Hull are the only side to have tabled an offer – allegedly £6million.

    Saints Double
At the other end of the field the Southampton link remains strong, with Pochettino yet to return to his former side in search of talent, and Liverpool already filling their boots with the south-coast club’s stars.

However Poch is now set to raid the Saints in the hope of capturing defensive midfielder Morgan Schneiderlin and striker Jay Rodriguez. Schneiderlin has already publically praised our manager after his inclusion in France’s World Cup squad, and Rodriguez was a cert to go to the competition before suffering an injury.

Schneiderlin remains an Arsenal target too however both would favour a move with their familiar boss.

    Griez the Mann
And it is Schneiderlin’s French international teammate who dominates the Spurs-related headlines this morning as news of Tottenham’s pursuit of attacker Antoine Griezmann shocked many.

Griezmann has been a target for numerous top clubs, including the likes of Paris Saint-Germain and Monaco, however Spurs are the first side to have made a move by tabling an unlikely £15million effort.

His Sociedad contract has a buyout clause of £24million, however Spurs are said to be preparing a £20million second bid to test the La Liga side’s resolve.

The 23-year-old has 52 goals in his 201 Sociedad appearances, and has been quoted as a possible Gareth Bale replacement with the side yet to replace the current Galactico. Whether or not Daniel Levy is willing to provide the extra £4million to land this international star is another matter.

Griezmann, Schneiderlin and Rodriguez would be good signings to freshen up the squad..
but surely it means more current players will be moving on??
Especially since there is a load of midfielders in the current ranks.. but there dont seem to see many rumors or news linking Spurs players to other clubs..
Still think there's room for a new striker though the emergence of Kane seemed to have made defoe's departure last January a distant memory..

Think it would be either/or Rodriguez of griezmann as last term both played predominantly down the left tho can play in other positions ie on the right. One would hope tho that right berth is being kept open for lamela to come good and Townsend to push him. Both are certainly prestigious talents. Running out of options striker wise tho as Remy gone lukaku looking Everton bound.. Bony don't quite do it for me. Benteke anyone?
