Napoli are ready to reignite their interest in Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Sandro as they look to add a midfielder to their squad.

The Serie A outfit, managed by former Liverpool boss Rafael Benitez, have turned their attention back to the Brazilian, according to the Daily Mirror, after interest earlier in the summer.

    Linked earlier in the summer

Sandro was heavily linked with a move to Naples in July when it seemed he would certainly depart White Hart Lane.

An agreement between the two clubs wasn’t forthcoming at the time but it could now occur with Tottenham more willing to sell now that Mauricio Pochettino has had time to review his squad.

Also, Napoli were interested in signing Manchester United midfielder Marouane Fellaini but that possible transfer is now over after the Belgium sustained an ankle injury.

Sandro failed to feature in Europa League

Sandro was expected to start Tottenham’s Europa League match against AEL Limassol this evening in Cyprus but remaining on the bench throughout their 2-1 win to add further weight to claims he is set to leave.

With the Brazilian down the pecking order and looking to secure regular first team football it seems a move to Napoli may finally be finalized, although time is running out fast.

Although the 25-year-old is a favourite amongst fans, the move could be best for all parties involved and the sooner this transfer goes through the more time Pochettino will have to use the funds on a replacement.

Love Sandro but he NEEDS to go if, as it appears, he is not part of Pochs plans. Would rather a deal go through quickly, than have the Brazilian marginalised at a club that he has, so readily, given body and mind for.

Sell the lad, and do it quickly, so that Poch can bring in someone he wants to use. I have no doubt the club have already begun to look at replacements/targets.

  4. Its kinda sad but Sandro has been making noises about leaving. He appears injury-prone, so maybe the lightweight Serie A is the best option for him...and I feel Capoue is a much better player than him.

With a consistant run of football is when Sandro is at his best, problem being he hasnt been able to achieve this for quite some time and is becoming more n more bit part which doesnt help him or the club.
Now we need 2 maybe 3 big players that Poch wants to help him implement his style on the team in general so if Sandro can help fund that then let it be.
If there is not some added dependable match winning quality before this window shuts we will again have another season like last.
