Winning is a habit. Losing can become one too. So whilst Spurs have had a blip recently, it was good to see that Poch was giving the FA Cup his full respect today.
Although the TV and other media had Spurs down to play a back 4, it was clear from the kick off that Spurs were going to play with the formation that had Sen them at their best this season , with 3 at the back and the wing backs punched up. Davies looked more comfortable with this and Trippier has a good cross in him more often than not.
Today we were clinical and professional. A deserved win, although there were a few occasions of complacency at the back that need to be removed.

Final Score: Fulham 0 v Tottenham Hotspur 3

Vorm- 7 Didn't have too much to do. Gave the ball away in the first half and was lucky that the return shot was straight back to his hands. He made a fabulous save in the second half from Scott Parker, which he wouldn't have known was offside.

Trippier - 7 Got forward Well and delivered some great crosses. The odd poor one too but played well and over ran the Fulham defence on numerous occasions.

Alderweireld - 8 Another accomplished performance and some excellent passing. Great player. Future captain surely.

Vertonghen - 8 Great to have him back. A few stray passes but so good to have him back in a back 3,

Davies - 7 Looked happier pushed further forward and put in a good shift.

Wanyama - 8 Solid and even showed pace!! A great signing.

Winks - 9 But for a Kane hat trick a clear man of the match performance. Great ball retention, great passing and ran at the opposition. Surely it's time he started more games.

Son - 5 Probably Spurs worst player today. Showed some signs of attaching intent but not a good performance.

Eriksen - 7 Lovely cross for the first goal and at times was quick going forward but still frustrating. Needs to up his game.

Alli - 7 Wasn't great but played some good balls. Should have had a goal too.

Kane - 9 - Hat trick hero. 3 clinical finishes.

And it's a home tie to Millwall next which should be a cracking cup tie and one that the Police will surely attend in numbers.

As ever, Come on You Spurs!!!

Kanes gotta have a 10 surely?

Good team display today. Turned up and played with pace and purpose.

    Millwall next round.

I'm *fairly* sure it was a standard 4-2-3-1, not 3atb today. Davies LB, Trippier RB, Wanyama - Winks in midfield - both of whom were utterly sublime - then Son, Alli, Eriksen, behind Kane.

    My observations:
Son makes good runs, occupies good areas, and doesn't get the ball. Often receives the ball in dodgy areas and can't really work with it.

Eriksen - the most criminally underrated player of the entire squad. When he doesn't play, Spurs don't. Simple as. Two beautiful assists as well, but him and Winks dominate games without most fans noticing.

Kane - he's only in a scoring blip when he doesn't get service. Give him the ball, and he'll bury it.

Vorm - underappreciated. Not many keepers of his quality would happily sit on the bench most weeks. Valuable asset.

Vertonghen - proving every bit as important as Alderweireld. Defensively sound.

Trippier - surprised me (pleasantly)! Looked solid, took up good positions and normally a danger going forward.

Davies - worked very well defensively with Son, did what little he had to reasonably well.

Sissoko - pile of w*nk. Stealing a living. I'd drive him back to Newcastle, fly him to France, pay off the rest of his contract - anything so that this monstrosity never plays for my club again. Resembles a footballer as much as Soccer AM's version of Bob Bradley resemblea Sir Alex Ferguson. Disgraceful.

Better.....whilst you can only play what's in front of you, which wasn't great, this was a refreshing team performance.

Some added urgency, developing moves with some pace, was good and long overdue. Getting Verts and Toby together again was great.

I like Trippier, a good cover for Walker. Son was poor, compared to those around him and I thought that Dele was untidy, with no end product....needs to step up. Eriksen much sharper although his free kicks and corners remain shite.

With the 6th round draw favouring us, then getting a semi at Wembley should be therefor the taking. Well played lads.

If we played three at the back, there's Toby and Jan. Who was the third?
Trippier and Eriksen hopelessly under-rated here.
I'm not a big fan of Eriksen but Poch's moving him to the left with Alli in the middle was a decisive change. His combination with Trippier was a major factor today.
As was the quick forward movement of the ball, down to Winks... with Dier and Dembele off the pitch.
Don't get me wrong, Dembele's brilliant with his strength and possession in his dribbles, but it slows down play and his distribution takes time, which allows defences to pack in, smothering Kane.

Eriksen and Vert should ask for a raise and otherwise threaten to leave. What a difference a few starters could make! I hope they do not read this...
Granted Fulham was poor, it was still a good display from Spurs! A something to hold on to for us the supporters after two miserable losses. COYS!!!

one of those games where the better team can take things for granted and then lose the game.
I thought we were on it form the start and the difference between the two teams was there for all the see. Fulham were never in the game.

Spot on Bazza. Lets hope they all turn up again on Thursday! Quite why Sissoko keeps being played I don't know - it would have been a good opportunity to let Marcus Edwards show his ability rather than making us endure another few minutes of Sissoko under performing.

Sissoko. Oh dear. Oh dear oh dear..
The best we can hope is that a Chinese team take him off our hands and we can recoup most of the ££.
The fact that he's getting more game time than janssen also concerns me. What do we make of the janssen situation chaps. Has Poch given up on him or is he simply trying to give him some tough tough love??

Janssen doesn't score goals......and doesn't look like scoring goals.
he will be gone at the end of the season

Headline for me......? I'm loving Tripps. I know Kyle is our established rb but the options Tripps gives us is fantastic (as Arry would say). We complain of lack of service to HK, but with Tripps in he will always get chances, and others can feed of the scraps. CE STOP taking corners and free kicks. He is constantly being referred to as a specialist. he gets one effective dead ball on target with threat every blue moon. Tripps again here for me. The young man is vastly under rated. Take a look at his first touch cut back to CE for the third. Superb technique with delating the attack. Winksy...top drawer...simple. Can you imagine what he will be like in a few years from now? World class is my prediction. Great from the other boys too. Dele..frustrating. So inconsistent so far. CE for me a nice to have. I'd swap him in a heartbeat for a Sanchez/Coutinho. Sissoko........who!!!!!!?
ps away fans sensational. Just sensational. Even sang one song which I've never heard before.

Guesty I fear you might be right....I always hope in the moments we have to watch him that there are signs of an improvement.....but unfortunately there isn't...feel for him.

    Totally agree Bruski.

Walker for me is pace and power whereas Trippier is the better footballer as in more clever and purposeful with his play.
I also think he would provide the type of service that Janssen could do with if he's not to be another could've been.

Would like to see both introduced more in lesser games or the frustrating games where plan A is not working.

Tripps always looks good against poor opposition that don't really put him or our full backs in general under pressure , his problems come mostlly when he gets caught up field and doesn't have the pace like Walker to get back into position .. Neither are much cop as defenders but Walkers pace masks a lot of his deficiencies in this area , Tripps gets exposed too often because of his lack of pace ... Tripps strength is his delivery , Walker is very weak in this department ... We,ll probably never see it but maybe someday we should try both , Tripps in front of Walker , I'm not convinced it would work but it could be worth a try ... As far as Jansen is concerned , well Poch,s comments about him last week don't bode well , my interpretation was he's not showing a whole lot on the training pitch either ... As usual , just my opinion ... C.O.Y.S ....

Agree re the full backs, good to have that quality in that slot....
Re Janssen....I'm concerned for him, he's given little chance to show, and what we've seen hasn't been great. Poch sees him day in day out and whether it's a kick up the R's or he's just not seeing it, going public and saying that you've got to feel his days may be numbered. For such a young striker who've made the move of a lifetime......come on lad step up....we are behind you....honest...
