Davies and Sigurdsson swap clubs, announcement shortly

Only Tottenham Hotspur could release a video of a player that hasn’t officially signed for the club training with the first team.

Swansea City’s Ben Davies has been linked with a move to White Hart Lane for the last couple of weeks and Spurs have been vying with Liverpool for the signature of the Welshman.

Over the weekend it was heavily reported that Davies was virtually a Tottenham player and that is certainly the case now.

SpursTV released videos of their first team training in the United States and several fans spotted Davies training with the first team.

Various newspapers also picked up on the accidental leak by Spurs and the Daily Mail believe the deal for the 21-year-old will go through today (Wednesday).

They report the transfer is yet to be concluded but only paperwork needs to be signed and it was decided that Davies would join up with Mauricio Pochettino’s squad after Swansea departing their own tour of America.


Goodbye to Sigurdsson

Davies will move to White Hart Lane and Gylfi Sigurdsson will move in the opposite direction in a straight swap deal.

Sigurdsson has been linked with a return to Swansea since the 2013/14 season concluded and though he was close to a move to Crystal Palace last week, he will return to Wales again.

Swansea keeper Michel Vorm is virtually a Tottenham player as well and it is predicted he could be announced alongside Davies at some point today.
