A fine 4-1 London derby win sees this Spurs side remain in fifth position in the Barclay's Premier League, however they are now only two points behind Man City in third, and four points behind table-topping Leicester City.

Following an uneventful first 10 minutes, Pochettino's men sprung into action with a Harry Kane opener on 23 minutes. This was followed by an Alderweireld header and a second-half strike from that man Kane again.

Kyle Walker completed the Tottenham rout on 83 minutes, only for a Lanzini strike, four minutes later, to spoil the party.

    STARTING XI:

    Huge Lloris - 6 -
Only had to make three saves all game and will be bitterly disappointed not to have kept a clean-sheet today - Lanzini's rocket too fearsome to keep out.

    Kyle Walker - 8 -
One of our right-back's best performances for a long time - only to be marred by a silly mistake which led to us conceding. Rewarded with a well-taken goal.

    Toby Alderweireld - 8 -
The complete ball-playing defender in the PL? This guy can tackle, head, distribute well and chips in with a goal. My MOTM today!

    Jan Vertonghen - 7 -
Toby will get the plaudits with the goal, but Vertonghen also played a key role in keeping Carroll, and later Jelavic, out of the game. Completed 93% of his passes today.

    Danny Rose - 7 -
Very solid today - having virtually man-marked Sakho out of the game. Is now finding a nice balance between his attacking and defensive duties - winning three tackles today.

    Eric Dier - 7 -
Does his job so well that he often gets overlooked when his team-mates shine bright in attack. Snuffs out danger brilliantly and was a key cog that kept our midfield ticking over.

    Dele Alli - 7 -
Marked tightly from the off and took a while to get into the game. His deflected shot lead to Kane's opener before he hit the post later on in the first-half. Continued to work-hard making three tackles, but was also dispossessed six times.

    Christian Eriksen - 7 -
Work-rate was stand-out once more, but also provided two assists today. His corner for Alderweireld's goal was inch-perfect.

    Mousa Dembele - 8 -
Not only was the beast instrumental going forward, but he was also excellent tracking back with West Ham's runners. Made four tackles, completed five successful dribbles and was unlucky not to score.

    Son Heung-min - 7 -
A very promising return for Son, considering this was his first start since September. Grew into the game and linked well with Walker down the right. Made three tackles, but was dispossessed five times.

    Harry Kane - 8 -
Deserved a hat-trick today. His work-rate and link-up play is what sets him apart from other strikers, but he also knows how to finish - no matter what the circumstance. Won three tackles and scored two goals from a total of six shots.

    SUBS:

Ryan Mason - 6 - Did well when he came on and was unlucky not to score. His low drive only kept out by the post.

Joshua Onomah - N/A - Only brought on with six minutes remaining.

Tom Carroll - N/A - Substituted on during stoppage time.

FK Qarabag are Spurs' next opponents in the Europa League - that game will take place on Thursday with a 18:00 kick-off.

Until then, lets revel in the fact that we have now gone 12 games unbeaten in the Barclay's Premier League - with Chelsea being our next opponent at the Lane.

Walker a 7 due to his mistake. Toby I agree best CB in league on form but pass rate of 68% today not good.
But best overall performance of season this far. Thought eriksen and Kane again set the tempo from the top. Son and died a little off par but dembele immense for me today.. 9 out of 10. Some looked tired today and I'd make wholesale changes on Thursday barring Alli who is now suspended v Chelsea.

To be fair to Son, he has been injured and came back today really well.
To pick faults today would be unfair. We played a team that have beaten City, Liverpool, Gooners, Chelsea.

And we didn't beat them , we destroyed them.

Still seeing too many missed chances. The difference now is that our excellent midfield are creating so many chances that we only need to convert a moderate proportion of them!

Lets not get over-confident about playing lowly Chelsea (I love saying that!) next week though - after yesterday's win they could be due for their resurgence and we could still go all Spursy again

Absolutely brilliant performance. Full marks to pochetino and the players. Work-rate, skill, solid in defence all facets there. Felt eriksen was quietly brilliant(as i feel he has been all season).

Chelski wont lay down for us as we all know by now. We are the side they love to beat but lets go for it. After all, we are holdin a full deck of cards my fellow supporters.

Toby has transformed our whole defence best purchase in a long time.
His solid displays both physically and technically bring the best out of the whole back 4.
Reminds me a lot of the King and his play/influence on the side.

Not only were we totally dominant, you could see everybody working there socks off and for each other as well.
It would have been rough justice if their Sakho effort had been in...So clearly offside.
There were so many good performances throughout the team, but for me it was Dembele - I thought he was awesome. For me his best game in a Lilywhite...
Bring on Chelski. It won't be easy, but this could take us 13 points and goal difference apart from them.

Agreed - the days of Kaboul are long gone. Toby has also made Jan better - they are both playing intelligently, and dont take unnecessary risks.

    About the ratings - I'd go Walker=7, Jan=8, Eriksen=8

Overall outstanding performance from most of the players. Thought Dembele was vital going forward, with him playing a deeper role Eriksen had a lot more liberty in his play. Boy that made a big difference, Eriksen - 8. Would give Dier - 8 as well, he's looking very comfortable in the middle and had some really good through passes going forward!

Walker would have gotten a 10 if not for the mishap, 8 is a fair rating. Danny - 8; looked solid, no doubt that Kane has found his form. Son held back a bit, probably due to him just being back from injury. We'll miss Alli next week, glad Mason got a few minutes on the pitch; he'll have to step it up!!

Thinking about the Chelski match, I'm like a kid in a sweet shop. Now that Lamela is available, should we bring him back ( that must be a cert!), push Dembele up into the front 3 and Ryan Mason alongside Dier? Should we play a front 3 of Lamela, Eriksen and Son and put Dembele back to play with Dier? Everywhere you look in our midfield, it's just so much young talent, and all this with Dele Alli being suspended! The future is Lilywhite! It's no wonder Roy Hodgson seems to have bought himself a season ticket at the Lane! COME ON YOU SPURS!

    have to agree about Aldi.
he is really something we have missed in recent seasons......the player that can sit with Verts and really sure up our defence. AND make Verts the player we know he can be.
I think the full backs just believe in them....which gives us great attacking threat.

shame Alli misses the Chelsea game....but he'll certainly learn from it. he won't want to miss to many of the big games due to needless cards
