I'm just feckin' happy to be where we are - generally a good time to be a Spur andquietly lapping it up. 2-2 against a 3rd Division side ? ( b*gger this League 1 & 2 nonsense). Least we weren't beat, like many times before. Simple, yes , but that's where I am. COYS

I think my assessment of the Game was pretty fair, the team selection lacked a lot of balance with too many deficiencies in it.
Had we lost the game there'd been no excuse but negligence.
I've not said it's a Terrible result I am glad we are still in the competition, just think we leave way too much to chance/hope over getting the job done.
Also with business end looming we could do without the unnecessary extra games sandwiched between.

In fact which parts of my analysis was wrong even with 1 eye on the Game?

Were Rochdale not the better side 1st half?
Did we not get our act together 2nd half?
    Was Mouras Goal not good?
Was the Pen not a slight fortunate?
Did they not equalise at the death?

Tell me which bits are wrong?

Sorry GinGin. I don't agree with everything that Felon writes on here but I do appreciate that he writes something that we (you, me, and many others) are able to comment on and share our different views. If it wasn't for Felon recently this site would be covered in cobwebs.

Obviously we would all like to have sailed thru without the need for a replay and an extra game but the name is in the hat and we will more than likely qualify for the next round with another favourable tie. Had it gone wrong Poch would have had to carry the can. Personally I would have gone with a stronger team and pulled one or two players off later in the match but he has made no secret of his list of priorities and is paid big money to do so. The draw has opened up with City losing to Wigan.
The players must shoulder most of the blame however for me they are all multi million pound Premier league International footballers apart from foyth. They were all given much needed game time to shine and many blew it. I'm sure they will get the replay to get some more much needed game time as some not all will be needed in the seasons run in and its very important as you state felon many are undercooked and not match fit or form fit which could be costly. I don't the replay will hinder us much tbf.
Got to say all those moaning about your posts however need to put one or two articles together themselves rather than being keyboard warriors.

Walker was the main culprit for the goal against Wigan ensuring that Man C did not need a replay. Always nice to see a player who left for greener pastures making match-defining mistakes.

Walker was always prone to a gaff like that his footballing skills were akin to a race car with no 1 behind the wheel

Quite so. I recall a stupid back-pass to Hugo at Anfield a few years back, when we were 1-2 ahead, which led to Stewart Downing levelling at 2-2. Then a Gerrard penalty (another one !) handed the points away. Walker certainly played well at times but when he took the headstaggers it was watch from behind the sofa time.

And wasn't there a back-pass first game of the season against ManU a few seasons back. Lost 1-0 ?
