Tottenham Hotspur manager Mauricio Pochettino has been dealt a hammer blow in his attempt to hold onto his stars this summer, with up to 10 key players demanding a move away from the club when the transfer window opens on 1 July — the reliable British press reports.

Less than four days since defeating rivals Arsenal 2-0 in what was the last ever north London derby at White Hart Lane, Pochettino looks set to have a huge rebuilding task on his hands ahead of the 2017/18 season.

It is believed the major factor behind an inevitable player exodus is not solely due to potential wages offered at rival clubs, but a sense of “fulfillment”. The crux of Pochettino’s squad feel that they have now hit a glass ceiling at Spurs after guaranteeing their side finishing above Arsenal for the first time in 22 years.

    Defence: out

With both Manchester clubs hot on the tails of Spurs’ stern defence, it is reported that all four of Danny Rose, Toby Alderweireld, Jan Vertonghen and Kyle Walker will force a move through to Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City come July.

After forming the meanest and most consistent defence in the Premier League over the past two seasons, Spurs’s fantastic back four believe that a move to the Etihad would not only see them quadruple their wages, but also provide them with the greatest challenge of their footballing careers: playing in a defence in front of goalkeeper Claudio Bravo.

To make matters even worse for Spurs, deputy full-backs Kieran Tripper and Ben Davies are also on their way out of London — both to Merseyside it is reported. Liverpool boss Jürgen Klopp will soon finalise a double swoop for the pair, eyeing Davies as the perfect understudy to current left-back James Milner, while Klopp considers Trippier the perfect example when teaching Nathaniel Clyne how to cross with accuracy into the six yard box.

    Midfielders: out

As well as the Premier League’s Northern powerhouses, the division’s second best London team after Spurs — Chelsea, that is — will also cash in on the turmoil facing Tottenham this summer. Both Eric Dier and Mousa Dembele are keen on a move to Chelsea after being impressed with Antonio Conte’s management style that the Italian himself recently summarised as: “It's not always about who spends more money who wins.”

The pair feel that Conte is doing a fantastic job at Stamford Bridge, despite his limited resources — which saw him spend a shrewd £118m on players last summer, including a bargain fee of £33m for back-up striker Michy Batshuayi.

Dembele and Dier will ultimately leave Spurs for a combined price of £343m — reflecting Conte’s belief that only he has the ability to make exceptional use of the numbers 3-4-3. However, this deal hinges on Chelsea selling Spanish stars Diego Costa and Cesc Fàbregas first, in order to maintain squad harmony in west London. As you may remember at last season’s Battle of the Bridge, Dier was arrested for the attempted murder of Fàbregas, while Dembele was banned for fracturing Costa’s eyelash.

Attackers: out. But alas — good news?

The remaining two stars that will quit their posts at Tottenham are perhaps the clubs most influential. Harry Kane and Dele Alli have both told boss Mauricio Pochettino that they desire to swap the Lilywhite of Spurs for the red of Manchester United next season.

An insider at Hotspur Way revealed how Pochettino reluctantly agreed with the pair’s reasoning for a move to Manchester, with both Kane and Alli stating they wish to play alongside the best players to have ever graced the Old Trafford pitch — Marouane Fellaini, Phil Jones, Marcos Rojo and Matteo Darmian. The two England internationals are also keen on a move to United in order to work with José Mourinho, this being after current United defender Luke Shaw shared a glowing review of the Portuguese’s man management skills during a recent international training session.

Yet, amid news of Kane’s departure the press also reports that chairman Daniel Levy has moved quickly to sign-up the striker’s successor. To soften the blow of Kane leaving, Levy has offered Vincent Janssen a new five-year deal. It is believed the contract offered to Janssen revolves heavily around goal-scoring bonuses — something that Levy believes will save him millions as Spurs move to their new stadium in 2018.

Disgraceful article. Pure rubbish and an insult to the integrity of our club (obviously not yours) and the players.

Go back to the Emirates where your heart obviously lies

All of the above report confirmed - plus breaking news from an Argentinian source that Poch is about to take over as boss at Leeds, as he "likes fat lasses in tracksuits with Yorkshire accents". But perhaps the biggest bombshell is that the Cockerel on the club emblem is on the way out. An insider has revealed that contract negotiations had broken down back in January, and that our iconic bird is to appear in Season 8 of Game of Thrones. A possible replacement is tipped to be the Canary from Norwich City who, according to the club's official website, has grown disillusioned with being associated Delia Smith after she accidentally cooked his cousin in an online line broadcast last October in a chicken noodle soup. Meanwhile, former Chairman, Alan Sugar, is rumored to be returning to the club as a tea lady. He is currently completing his NQT in catering having wow the board with his cycling proficiency badge.

Just happy Eriksen and Lloris are staying. Although rumour is both want a move to Arsenal. source close to the players state they believe its there best chance of complacency whilst picking up a wage as they enter the secind half of their respective football careers. P.s Janssen rejected the contract from levy and is moving on a free to Arsenal

Great to know that all will be leaving. I guess arsenal can then defeat spurs easily in the next derby.

    Bravo!

Was just getting indignant when I got to the bit about Bravo and the penny dropped. Shame about some of the other comments!

Jesus how do some of these muppets exist?

The inability to understand sarcasm is a huge Gooner trait. Perhaps they're flocking over from their sinking ship.

Good work. There is so much shite in the mainstream press it is unbelievable. Every day they report another player will be leaving us. It's just lazy journalism and baseless. Given up reading it and certainly given up caring. As Poch points out, no one is going anywhere unless we say so - they're all on long contracts. Let the vultures circle - they'll be wasting their time. In Poch we trust. It's a new dawn and this sleeping giant has awoken!
