This is starting to feel very much like last Season. We were 2nd on 55 points after 29 games, 5 off the top. We have come on a lot, with 62 points from 29, albeit 7 off the top, because of Chelski.

We’ve been here before. Spurs fans sense it. Contributors to this forum sense it. Last year’s bitter experiences from here on out are still in our heads. We’re twitchy, nervous. Keeping quiet. Not wanting to talk it up. Taking each game at a time. A bit like the team, no doubt. We’ve gone to ground because of what happened last year. We’re not wanting to count our chickens, nor will we this time around.

When the recent International break came along we had remaining games against every team from 11th to 18th, plus Manure and The Scum.

Now I’m not going to talk about the fact that we haven’t lost to a team out of the top 6 all season, or that we’ve got the most PL points – 29 – since the turn off the year of any side or that we are 7 points better off this season. After all we are still second.

I’m not going to talk about injuries to key player, the weakness of the bench. I’m not.

I’m going to be quietly taking each game at a time, and only each game. Not worrying about all the others. I will not say that I might quietly be wishing for draws in the other top games…. wasn’t Sunday a great result.

Tomorrow we need to be clinical, take our chances, keep that defence as tight as it’s been and do a job down there. It will be tough. It will be difficult for Siggy not to want to excel. Forget that, prepare well, do your job, come on home.

This has been a hell of a season. The disappointment of Europe was massive, but at The Lane in probable our last season the Team have probably been the best I’ve ever seen (I didn’t get to see much of the Double side). The lads have done really well. Keep it there tomorrow. Remember, one game at a time.

I still think if we win every game between now and the end of the season we may well win the title, albeit on goal difference!

But it's the hope that - as well as making things enthralling - eventually kills you. I'd still take 3rd and above Arsenal if you gave it to me right now!

What a pleasure it is watching us right now though - I'm loving every second, and I used to dread Saturday 3pm! Up the Spurs.

Every game is a must win from now on in and we need to make the most of these favorable fixtures we have at present. Massive gamble on Saturday to rest walker, dembele and Son and was fortunate to get away with it until dembele came on and bossed it from then on in. Blessing that winks is out now for me he's not ready yet and being pushed upon us by porch at the expense of the moose. Great decision to switch to a back four midway thru the game which also changed the dynamic of the game so credit where its due on that tbf..

Just think if we hadn't wasted money on the likes of Janssen, Sissoko and N'kodou (who have really offered nothing between them) and spent 59mil on 2 top quality players we would be toe to toe at least with the Chavs.

With Chavs playing City and Us hosting the lowly swans we could realistically close to 4/5 points if things go our way but unfortunately we are running out of games.

9 to play 27 points to play for gives a 21 point finish line for the Chavs even if we have a perfect finish. Anything can happen but we need Chavs to wobble and we need to sweep aside all with tricky games vs Scum, Utd and wet sham still potential banana skins.

2 things that must happen for me, CL qualification and finish above Scum.
An Fa Cup would also be brilliant.

Then in the Summer we need no dilly dallying about we need CL/title standard players not these potential hopefuls that 9 times out of 10 flatter to deceive. Want to be a big club need to start acting like 1.

Spot on Bazza , one at a time and let's see what happens , if things go our way tomm eve then playing early for the next two games gives us a chance to put some real pressure on but let's see what happens tomm eve before we look any further ahead ...

Rumors that Harry is close to returning , would be a massive boost if we could get a game or two into him before the last 4 or 5 games , he usually needs a bit of time to get up to speed .. The feckin injury couldn't have come at a worse time , he was really starting to motor ...

No Rose , no Walker , no Dembele , no Kane , no Lamela last time out , scary to think about it but we got there ... I wouldn't like to see too many fixtures with that many of the main men out and in fairness you can't expect us to be the same team under them circumstances , obviously we loose a fair bit of dynamism but as long as we,re not conceeding you always feel we can nick one ...

So on to tomm then , 3 points and no more injuries please , we,re really skating on thin ice now as far as that's concerned , then we,ll see what happens after that ...

Another good result there with the Mancs messing up , another opportunity to consolidate our top 4 and make it very difficult for them to catch us ... If they're out of it by the time they turn up at the Lane I'm sure they'll be focusing on Europa and won't be too bothered about our game ... Plenty to play for yet and exciting times for us at this moment in time .... Of course we can mess it up , nobody messes things up quite like us but we,ll worry about that if it happens .. lol ... As always , C.O.Y.S ......

Yeah, one game at a time, the age old cliché remains as true as ever. Tottenham have done very well since Christmas, top of the league in terms of current form, picking up the Ws while our rivals stutter. What heartens me is it looks like Alli, Eriksen, and Son are in good form at this critical stage of the season - key players for us in the absence of Kane in particular.
Dropping out of Europe may have been a blessing in disguise in terms of keeping the players fresh, and if Kane and Rose can hit the ground running it will be a superb boost in the final couple of months of the season. I still see top four and the F.A. Cup as the main priority, Chelsea still have to lose three times (don't give me two Chelsea defeats, a draw and Spurs superior goal difference will get us there) and we have to win every game pretty much for the dream to come true.
In the meantime, the beer is chilling in the fridge for tonight! COYS.

Phew , that was harsh on the old ticker , fair play to them they kept going and got what they deserved in the end I.m.o .... Really good signs from this side at the moment with a fair bit going against them .. Really good midweek all round in the end with all our challengers messing up again , pity City couldn't nick an old draw , they were well on top for periods of the game but their horrific defense bit them in the ass again , predictable really ... So onto the next one where we can apply a wee bit of pressure by playing first , get our job done then see what happens .... C.O.Y.S ....
