I'm happy. I'm sad. I'm confused.

Yes - I could have listed the whole of both teams and only found one or two weak links (Mitchell Thomas, for instance), but Hoddle was unfortunately one of the non-performers on the day - a very sad end to his Tottenham career. I reckon we had the best squad in Division One that season but sadly Everton had the best team and we yet again fell away when the going got tough. I'd never have believed that our haul in the following 29 years would consist of one FA Cup and two league cups, but 1987 was probably the last season when we were as big a club as any - we'd been top dogs in London since the start of the decade, we'd done a league double over Liverpool, Chelsea were nowhere, and United were struggling under the yet-to-be-knighted Ferguson - little did we know how appallingly mismanaged the club was being under Irving Scholar, how soon the wheels were going to come off, and how long it would take to get them back on.

I am a spurs fan since the days when I was 4 years old and Jimmy Greaves was in his prime, when England won the world cup in 66 so you can judge for yourself how long I have been supporting them- through think and thin, ups and down especially during 1995 to 2011 very sad years of managers departures it would seem every 6 months or every year.. Our current coach has not been lucky as some believe, he dis his research/homework on what is happening in the EPL thats why he choose Spurs, we do have an academy/ we are building new stadia- finally. What is missing from Spurs is not just about 'systems' but to have a killer mindset (pardon the pun) in front of goal, score more of the opportunities we do get.. another example is Kane, as good as he is, in my opinion if was less selfish and more of a TEAM player, we would not have finished 3rd in the league but at least 2nd without a doubt.. if he can curb his personal ambitions/desires and focus on the TEAM he will become an extremely significant player for club and country.......... his recent playing in the Euro 2016 prove this beyond any shadow of doubt.. he needs to tune and always thing about the team and not him being top scorer, but EPL winner/FA cup Winner/CL winner- We need to conclude all signings and get rid of players such as Carroll, Bentalab, Lamela, Son, I have never seen any of them 'pulling up trees' as it were.. we need players who can hold up the football and pass it with accuracy, players who is not afraid or get mesmerize due to opponents.. thats why I like Dele Alli( needs to curb his little indiscretions) as he does not give a F...k about who you thing or how good you think you are, he is in your face.. good trait...As we approach the new season naturally I want us to do well in every single competition we engage in- just win it COYS.
