Lots of pieces about Poch already putting the dampner on the Stadium Move 'Managing Expectations' that we won't be spending any money.
Despite the Promises of being able/better equipped to 'Compete' and the Ticket hikes with little to no actual investment last 10 years.
No we'll be carrying on with our special project that we're apparently ahead of schedule on.
Apparently we cannot do things the same as the club's that Win things, but we can charge more than they do for the pleasure of not really ever quite making it.
Perhaps Poch can continue bringing those Academy players he's so renowned for (who was the last 1? ) through to long term eventually sell to Hull or Swansea or give to a lower league side for crumbs.
And what's even better to hear is he's still 'Managing Expectations' regarding Trophies, the guy that Promised a Big Trophy within 2 years of joining us but failed to deliver, then changed the Narrative that we're only interested in the League & CL Trophies which he's failed to deliver, now that Trophies altogether don't matter at all I'm sure this 1 he can deliver on.
Talk of Alderwerild Rose Wanyama Dembele all being surplus to requirements fine if it's time for them to move on but who the Hell r Poch the Pauper and Ming the Penniless gonna find to replace these at what needs to be at minimum same level but proactively better?
Seriously 'delusional' doesn't even cut it here, it's just spin after spin.

How a rookie breaks into the magic circle of top managers is possibly the biggest mystery in football; of the recent managerial giants, only Guardiola had anything resembling a career as a top player, while SAF and Wenger were mediocre and Mourinho had no playing experience at all - what can we make of that? Maybe Pochettino could have won as much as Guardiola if he'd been given the real Barcelona gig instead of Espanyol, but I don't see him winning the CL with Porto as Mourinho did, let alone building Aberdeen into the best team in Scotland as SAF did, or turning Arsenal from the second best team in North London in 1995 to double winners three years later, as Wenger did. If he eventually gets a job with one of the European giants, we'll get a better idea of his worth, but I think his reputation must be lower now than when SAF was mischievously touting him as the best manager in the PL, and he may have missed the boat (as I fear we've done, now the big boys are back). As usual, we'll see.

All very true there mate but it must be remembered even the great Sir Alex was only a game or two away from his p45 at Utd and it took him a long time to get the hang of European football .. I don't think he was being mischievous when touting Poch a few years ago either , I believe he has a big reputation at this time but as we've seen many a time , bubbles can be burst quiet easily in football ... I think guys like Dyche , Eddie Howe and Chrissy Houghton should remember this too but thats another story ...Only time will answer the questions completely I suppose ..

As far as all his talk in the media about projects goes I think a lot of it is he knew what he was buying into when he signed up with Tottenham and he certainly seems to be very loyal to the chairman ... I think in fairness to him thats admirable because over the years we've seen many a time managers going into jobs knowing the constraints they signed up under but when the pressure starts coming from diff places they all of a sudden start singing from a diff hymn sheet completely to the one they were singing from at the start ... I think he knew from the start funds would be limited and the wage structure of the club and he's bought into that completely .. Now weather you like this project idea or not is kind of irrelevant because these were the terms when he signed up and the fact he's staying through to his word is something that should probably be applauded rather then used as a rod to beat him with I.m.o ..

At the end of the day I think we'll nearly all agree on one thing , none of us would have a problem replacing anyone at the club , players , coach's or manager or owners as long as they're being upgraded but that's a hell of a lot more difficult in reality then it is in theory as we've seen many times at many different clubs over the years .... C.O.Y.S ....

All accurate and true Felon. It is strange the pedestal he is put on. A good coach and manager, yes. But we've had his quality before. He is for us I'm convinced so back him DL ffs! It IS about silverware...it really is.

Personally I think Poch will walk this summer. He's took spurs to their limit on this budget and can only damage his reputation by staying any longer.

Not sure hel go unless there is an offer from a bigger club on the cards which if there was who can blame him.
What I'm most dissapointed in is the pre 'Expectation Management' and what has seemed very much like getting the excuses in early for inevitable let downs and non progress next season.
The language he has been using recently has seemed to be very defeatest/negative and political.

By the looks of it we are on the cusp of yet another dreaded 'Transitional Period' and more financial Prudence.

We've never had it so good the ENIC cycle years yaye !

Not sure about defeatist more like an acceptance that he's taken the job as far as he can. Maybe as far as anyone can perhaps.. Hands are tied and he's done the job he was asked to do.

Is he not just toeing the party line though , i wouldn't be against that personally if that's the case .. like I said earlier I wouldn't be against someone sticking to something they originally signed up to rather then changing their tune half way through .. Maybe I'm being naive about it , who knows ...

We all knew it wasn't going to be a case of moving into the new stadium and everything was going to change finance wise , we've discussed it plenty over the last few years .. To what degree it's going to strangle us and for how long , we're just going to have to wait and see ... It could go on for a decade or even more i.m.o .. The wage structure is the first thing that needs sorting and quickly or this cycle will never change .... We live in hope ... C.O.Y.S .....

If that's the case the fans would be more understanding but for me it's all the cloak and dagger over why walker left and now rose n Toby. The fans will accept that we are not all of a sudden going to be signing players 50m a pop but we certainly deserve to be expecting to keep our players and maybe add one special player here and there.

Not really sure how relevant any of that is to the conversation Fran ... For the record I agree with what you're saying but I don't think any of my earlier posts suggested otherwise .....

Just agreeing and reiterating what you are saying. That as fans it's frustrating that we don't get to know what the financial implications are at present etc. I'm not expecting fine detail from the club but if they were to come out and explain the restraints were under and a time frame of how long they would last. Personally rather than ten years or so of selling off assets each year I'd prefer to sell off three or four big names even if it means Kane alli eriksens to leave and start a fresh page..

Sorry mate , head up arse syndrome here sometimes ...

Yea if we just knew where we stood with the whole damn thing it would be something one way or the other ..... There'll be some money to spend no doubt , but we'll need to get lucky again i.m.o and if the wages thing doesn't change then the same old **** cycle will go on and on .....

One more season. I think a lot of this squad will give it one more season (the good ones that is not the dross)

Well having had a read up of that it would seem that this Stadium move will hamper us for 4 - 5 years if paid off aggressively.
So basically more of the same for the foreseeable selling to buy, minimum budget, wage caps.
After 5 more years of this we may start seeing an increased turn round pending on how much of the new found revenue Enic want to put back in, but seeing as they are more like the Arsenal model as opposed to the Utd 1 this whole Stadium Project has been more a long drawn out hinderence than a help.
I hope I'm wrong but I just see the New Temple as a money vacuum for Enic, the fact it has A Football team steeped in Tradition in it is merely a convenience.
If there's any fans that think player retention can continue on a shoestring budget without winning things over 5 years for the love of a Jam Tomorrow Project are completely deluded.

From a business point of view to aggressively confront the 400m loan makes perfect sense. And that's what we are, what levy and Lewis are and football in general but it means a torturous five years ahead for the fans. We will probably make around 50m per season profit after tax if we're in CL with a player sale each season at 50m plus to pay back the loan.
Makes you wonder if it would be worth taking the reported 200m for Kane thissummer as inevitably in 12 months time he will be on his bike and add it to the sale of Toby and Rose and flops like sissoko lamela llorente Jansen and that's pretty much all the debt gone. Maybe sacrifice one of our no 10s in eriksens or Alli. 12 months pain is better than 5 to 10 years right?? Promote the likes of foyth vickers Peters Richards and target some young players for the long term rather than buy to sell. Maddison sessagnon Dembele Tierney De Ligt of ajax.
The third model which I cannot see is invest heavily in the squad up the wage cap and guarantee our own success by qualifying for the CL each season and go deep into competitions and actually win something.
Personally I'd be happy this season to flog all the dead wood and up the wage cap and keep all our big names even if it meant not one single signing.

Pochettino is a gaffer! His substitutions were totally awful today !!!! Lorente was at fault on baggies goal and Lucas made more during 10 minutes than lamela during 80 minutes... ! Chelscum will punish us

Well that was painful to watch and just as I thought it was limping towards the Draw the most shocking lack of Marking I've seen in a long time.
Danny Rose seemed to be the only guy in our box that was actually trying to defend.

    NOTE TO POCH-

FOR F.CK SAKE STOP PLAYING LAMELA AND SELL THE F.CKING CLOWN !!!!!
