Some how without winning anything in 10years and a measly 3 Trophies in 30 + years our Manager and a large chunk of the fan base have arrived at a place where they act like Trophies don't matter.

How can you out grow something you can't achieve?

    It's Madness.

It seems the last few games we've began to splutter on the performance front, we barely scraped past Stoke, were owned by city and last night was flat as.

We seem to be passing the ball about at snail pace again and the press which serves us well is non existent. The team to me looks leggy, a lot of games have been played but this is a crucial part of the season.

    Overplaying the same personnel?
    Underplaying others?
    Over training?

Perhaps a combination of all 3

The narrative that Poch presents which he did again post Brighton is that Cup competitions are down to luck and don't represent true success.

Let's clear something up here -

    No one cares about:
    Record Home Attendances
    What Team ran the most
    Who had the ball longer
Who had the least net Spend Vs Performance

It's Embarrassing what Our Club will Bragg about these days!

(When looking at a Club and it's stature within the game there is something called an Honours list reading ours is like looking at memorabilia in a museum.)

This is as much about giving up before you've started as deflecting an inability to tactically out smart other teams in Crunch matches.

Poch says he is a Winner, well start by Winning things and having the conviction in your actions.

We have an 8 point gap on Chavs in the league (that can be closed to 5 although Chavs have a tricky away tie to Burnley and Pool still to play) Now is the time for the Project to Start Delivering on the Trophy front not next year or in 5years , the Promise made by the man himself was a major trophy within 2 years of joining no more excuses deliver!
The Non returning Project will only go so long before the core of players on relative low salaries in comparison to those around them start to lose faith and look elsewhere this is Approaching mark my words!

Big Billion Pound Structure in the background the Mill Stone of the past 10 and future 10 years at least.
One things for certain the Club will be charging Winning Club prices but will it actually Pay Winning club Transfers/Wages and actually start by I don't know- Winning Anything?

When will we as fans start seeing the Fruits of our Money and Support?

Trophies Matter at this Level and anyone that tells you otherwise should not follow professional sport.

This perspective that somehow, winning the Carabaoumonkeycup or the fa cup, will turn THFC into 'winners' / stop all our best players leaving / better prepare us for the two trophies that matter, the CL and the PL, is a complete nonsense.

Take the FA Cup. It is possible to play four lower division clubs at home, a lower division club in the semi final and final, but, we would be winners? Even if in the same season we finish 6th in the PL and miss out on the CL? In what parallel unniverse do those who hold to this belief live in? Try getting top players to join on the prospect of a tin cup every now and then, no CL football and no challenge for the PL.

We're in the Driving seat for Top 4 by 8 points, with 4 to play vs 3 mid table sides and 1 all but relegated side.
We've been in the CL last 2 seasons who were the Top Players that Joined in this Time?
Why wouldn't winning a Trophy be a priority from this point forward?
Winning Trophies creates the Winning mentality , not winning Trophies and making out it's ok does not.

FA cup would be a starting point or a spring board for success for sure no?, worked for mourinho at Chelsea and a lesser extent united. Think city's first trophy under its current owners was an fa cup was it maybe?

Take the Champions League Liverpool have literally had a similar run as what your saying above (barring City) and could well win it.
If they did win it would that make them non winners of the Trophy that Europe's Elite Covet every season?

Although I don’t think winning a cup will turn us into “bonafide winners” overnight, akin to switching on a light, it’s foolish to play down how important a trophy win would be to this squad’s development.

Don’t forget, Pochettino and the players have made unbelievable progress over the past four years — us fans have gone being devastated to missing out on top 4, to devastated about missing out on the title; that scale of margin is huge — so surely lifting a trophy, for them, would be seen as a righteous vindication/reward for all the work they’ve put in over the past four years: fruits of their labour, almost.

The other factor with winning a trophy is it gets a monkey off our back. Rival fans and “banter-fuelled” pundits have always had ammunition with Spurs in recent years: “hadn’t finished above Arsenal in X years”; “hadn’t beaten Chelsea away in X years”; “hadn’t beaten United away in X years”. To win a trophy would be a final nail in that coffin.

The other thing that annoys is me is when fans say they’d rather Top 4 over an FA Cup win. Not because I favour the latter over the former, but because this manager and squad are good enough to achieve both.

Last season was the first in which we didn't finish with the customary 'Pochettino Fade', but the signs from the last few games don't bode well for the rest of this campaign: lacklustre performances throughout the side, Kane a shadow of his former self, Lloris a liability - a return to our best form this weekend is essential if the serious possibility that we'll not only add an eighth consecutive FA Cup semi-final defeat to our current shameful record, but lose our CL spot to Chelsea, is to be avoided. It really really really is time for 'jam tomorrow' to be replaced with 'champagne today', because there's so much transfer speculation about our best players that I can't believe that there won't be a mass exodus sooner rather than later without tangible success NOW!

I am bemused to hear more and more spurs fans referring to a Trophy as a 'Monkey on our Back' like it's a meaningless chore!

The whole point of Sport is to Win , win as much as you can and as many times as you can.

We may aswell dust off the contents of our Trophy cabinet and get some scrap money for the metal to put towards the Retractable pitch seeing as they're so meaningless.

Are we still a Fan Base or Pseudo Buisness Analyst's ?!?!?!?!

Absolutely Felon. We all believe that Poch has been brilliant for the club. Fact. It is also a fact that we are 'a top team in the Prem'. However, their is still (and I'm really sorry to overuse this term) that bleedin' Spursy side to us. Why? Different coach. Different staff. Different players and yet that cut throat attitude of winning sadly eludes us at very important times, Juve in point, and don't talk to me about Brighton. Bloody Chelscum are sniffing our rear ends again (how the feck did that happen?) and I for one am nervous because of recent performances.

We need two big wins in our next two games and our season will be nearly, but only nearly done.

As ever at the elite level it's a matter of fine margins. That win at Chelski may well be THE win of the season....apart from tomorrow.
    Of course.

Lloris, Trippier, Alderweireld, Vertonghen, Davies, Dier, Dembele, Dele, Eriksen, Son, Kane. Manchester United we're gonna give your arses a hell of a beating.....said with a Norwegian accent.....
