Well after being completely outclassed it is definitely time to find a way to refresh the side, enabling us to consolidate our Top 4 position. The loss against City leaves us 7 points ahead of Chelski with 5 to play. A win tonight would not only put the pressure back on them. A loss would mean the prospect of them potentially being only 4 behind, with 4 to play.....too close for comfort.

We need a minimum of three wins from the last five to consolidate 4th spot, win all five and we could still finish 2nd. It's all to play for.

So I'm going to advocate a big change for tonight. It's time for Poch to set aside his dispute with Toby, bring him back into the fold, revert to three at the back, and in doing so go for width and pace, starting with both Sonny and Lucas.

So my starting 11 for the Seagulls is:

Lloris, Sanchez, Alderweireld, Vertonghen, Lucas, Wanyama, Eriksen, Dembele, Son, Dele, Kane.

It relegates Dier, who has not looked great and Lamela, likewise, along with both full backs, in return for allowing us to plug the hole down the middle that proved so costly against Juve and City. If we get a good result then it might, just might, allow the Club to find a solution with Toby. We live in hope.

It's time to play your best attacking side and best defender MP.......Please.

I see where you are coming from Bazza and Brighton r decent at home, but I'd be more inclined to rest Harry Eriksen Dembele Son for Sunday which is currently our biggest game of the season.
I'd take an ugly 0-1 tonight with the delights of Lamela Sissoko Llorente Aurier , I'd also drop Lloris and maybe rest Jan for Foyth.
If worse were to happen we're still in the Driving seat but we won't get a 2nd chance on Sunday.
    Need that Trophy !

Just think Sissoko Lamela Llorente Jannssen N'kodou Aurier £120 million worth of Pure Dross, could get 3 worldies for that. But in the Bargain Bin we Trust!

Just a little uncomfortable with going too much for the stiffs Felon. Could play Dier, rest Moussa, play Lamela off the left, rest Sonny, rest Kane, play Llorente, play Sissoko instead of Wanyama.....personally that would be my plan B.....watch this space.

Hopefully it's the end of the fall out but can't see it.
Proper banana skin this one we're Poch maybe damned if he does or damned if he doesn't in regards to rotation. Very attacking side that Bazza and I can't see poch being that brave and positive in his selection.
I think it will be something like
Lloris aurier Rose(if fit) Toby sanchez wanyama sissoko moura lamela Son Kane.

My reading of the Toby situation is that he'll play him and leave Jan out, ready to bring him back for the Sh*te game on Saturday when Toby'll be out again. Please let me be I'm wrong though.

Typical end of season snorefest .. Too many of them at the moment i.m.o , if our job was complete I wouldn't care but there's work to be done ... Tough watch for whoever made the trip ... Big game at the weekend , play like we have over last three games and it'll end in tears ... C.O.Y.S ....

He's been the main contender from day one in fairness ... He's the Titas Bramble of full backs at the moment ...

Given Tobys performance tonight and undoubtedly fit and our top defender SHOULD and WILL he play Saturday???
Could Sanchez start at full back to accommodate ?

Not a good night for our Spurs...

    Lloris ok 6
    Aurier... 5
    Toby 7
    Jan 7
    Davies 5
    Sissoko 6
    Wanyama 7
Eriksen 6 or 5... his free kick and corner are awful and his final touch was poor tonight
Son 5 even if he made a nice assist on the goal
Lucas 6 why pochettino substitutes him...
    Kane 6

An inevitable result from toothless Spurs. At least TA and Moura started and despite the lacklustre performance, it was a point gained. I am trying to keep a bit of faith with this lot and sincerely hope they do the job on Saturday but I have an awful feeling that Jose has the mastercard. I hope I'm wrong however!

    " Nice assist "

Looked like an accident to me but I'll have to watch it again ... Taught it was more of a ricochet then an assist ...

Not a good watch and Aurier is always a penalty waiting to happen. How many this season ? Maybe it's not as many as I think, but I count 3. And I don't feel at all good about Saturday..........

That was a horror show, that was. This was Brighton ffs, a team we've struggled to score against this season. The surface clearly didn't suit some, that's not an excuse though. Nobody apart from Lucas could control the ball. Eriksen was shocking.

It does open up the possibility of three at the back, although that will depend on who we string across in front of them - too attacking with Lucas and Sonny wide and you risk not having cover for the runners. It didn't work against the Gooners earlier this season.....mmmm. Think Poch won't risk it.

Poor night at the office and as Burnt said, tough for those who travelled, as opposed to me who suffered it from my armchair. Needed a hot milk and JD at half time to deaden the pain of watching it.

    Saturday will be "interesting"..........COYS
