Spurs will welcome a struggling Baggies outfit who are without a manager since relieving Tony Pulis of his duties midweek after only two wins in 20 odd league games or so. Barring Everton you couldn't hand pick a better opportunity to put last Saturday's poor result and performance behind us.
From now until The new year we have a very favourable set of fixtures with only City away from home in a few week or so looking daunting. We play Man Utd at home new years eve and if we take the points we should do then we could be well placed behind Man City going into the transfer window when we will need new additions in particular a second striker who can actually score goals.

    TEAM NEWS

Missing will be Toby, Wanyama and probably Lamela who will get game time with the under23s. Apart from that Poch will have a strong hand to play with and I'm expecting to follow on from Tuesdays impressive victory at Dortmund. Anything less will be a disaster.

    SHAPE

I'm not to convinced over the back three this season in particular when Dier plays there. For me he lacks pace and overplays. Also Davies and Trippier don't have the legs and Stamina that we seen from Walker and Rose previously. Bellarin got I'm behind far too often last week in what was a key factor in the game. I'm hoping that we play the same formation that brought about beating Dortmund. This will ensure that Son keeps his place as he often seems to miss out when we adopt two number 10s in Alli and Eriksen(another ploy that doesn't seem to work).

In Poch we have a manager who seems to get his tactics fantastically right or woefully wrong. His selection of Sissoko and his non selection of Dembele are equally baffling. For me the moose is the best all round centre mid in the league bar none and has to start when fit.

    LIKELY LINE UP

Lloris Trippier Davies Jan Sanchez Dembele Winks Eriksen Alli Son Kane.

I'd expect caretaker to take West From back to basics being organised and hard to break down. They will look to soak up pressure and nick a goal on the counter or set piece. I go Spurs to Prevail Two Nil.

We seem to have had more success this year playing on the counter ourselves not sure u can do that vs a Struggling West Brom side.
It's a must win game now that we've invited Arsenal and Liverpool back into the top 4 mix.
Having qualified top of the group in the CL full attention must be put on the league , I would like to see all the best players rested for the last game (1 of Pochs mistakes over seasons past)
The League now has to take priority until the next round is announced.

As for signing a Striker in January- Fran are u feeling OK mate? We won't be signing anyone unless we can get Barkley on a free or a 15yr old nobody.

Llorente is not a great signing. I would get Crouch on the cheap in January. 37 and proven to score goals from the bench. Not a long term solution but for the rest of this season a great signing for me.

Good analysis, Bigfran. Except Ramsey outplayed Dembele last Sat, unfortunately for us. Moussa is not 100 per cent, IMO, still. I would let Dembele to play last 30, therefore, and start Dier. Rose and Aurier must rest, as Felon correctly pointed out.

We don't play Man Utd at home NYE, it's West Ham

I agree with your line up in general but maybe we could sacrifice Ericksen or Alli for someone else that can get down the wing to the byline and put in hard, low crosses on the left - Trippier and Son have worked well together on the right at times. I think that is key to unlocking parked team buses.
I like Dembele, he offers us something different, but he is not a holding midfielder which was expected of him last weekend. Winks with Dembele however, is probably our strongest midfield pairing.
Leave Rose and Aurier at home so they can Google 'offside trap'. Don't even mention a name with three S's in!

p.s. Stipe Pletikosa (played 1 game on loan for us) was on Croatian TV doing CL analysis this week. He said 'MY SPURS are doing so well' with such pride. Kudos Stipe.
